Looks like the same collection of mediocre deals. BUT there's also a 10% off ball bearing storage sale. That's a bit tempting if I can get it to compound with another sale.

Last Craftsman Club period, there was a 10% friends and family sale on Sunday which did funky things - like make a $300 combo checkout for $220. If I see that again now, I'll definitely whip out the gift cards!

I was considering the nut drivers and the flare nut wrenches. Does anyone have any feedback on the crossforce wrenches? They are usually pretty pricey, but for 60 bucks for the 8 piece set, I was considering them. What do you guys think, good tool or gimmick?

I have the Gearwrench XL X-Beam set ( non ratcheting) which I believe is the same design as the Crossforce. I first used these wrenches doing a brake job. What I noticed is that I don't hurt my palms when I hit the wrenches in order to break fasteners loose.

They're good for doing VeeDubs serpentine belt tensioners though. I really ought to buy a 16mm just for that, since i have to lock them regularly at work.

Might not be good for organisation, but they're they're GREAT for working comfortably. My friend has some and after 12 hours under one of his wrecks we were rebuilding i was reaching for them before my Eloras.

You might be able to stack the extra 10% off with this sale.

Sale ends Saturday, though, so depending on what time of day the sale ends, YMMV.

Couple of things, I would like to see the crossforce/xbeam wrenches, with a locking, flexible end on them. That way I could adjust the tension on them, and still work comfortably.

I will ask the second part elsewhere.

When I was in the store, I noticed that the Craftsman Crossforce were much heavier and thicker than the GearWrench Xbeams. I always thought the Gearwrench ones were identical except that they come from Asia. I guess that it not the case.

I have a set of the Crossforce ( non-ratcheting) and like them too.The open ends sure are thick and heavy, can't imagine them ever spreading out! They sure are heavy, though.
The storage is sure an issue, though.I ended up making a nice wrench rack out of welded up steel, that fits in the drawer nice, but was a little bugged that when you line them up,one of them is sized wrong. All of the wrenches in the set get progressively longer like normal, except for I think it's the 1/2 inch one. It's almost exactly the same length as the 9/16,and the markings are slightly different.
So it makes it look like I goofed on the rack.I got them when they first came out,so I figured they didn't get the bugs worked out yet.

Are the Craftsman Club prices suppose to reflect on the Sears Online Cart? I was trying to purchase a set of Metric Crowfeet and the Craftsman Pro 10 Pc Screwdrivers Set but what I get is only a $10 club discount.

I already updated My profile with my Club ID no.

tks

I've got the full polish flare nutin standard and they have been A+ good for me. I'm going to head to Sears today for a metric set. I've got a couple metric Blackhawks, but at $25, I may as well get another full metric set.
