My krl1023 should be here some time in October courtesy of the tool show. Im financing through SO credit and before interest my dealer gave me a price of 4700. I'm pretty stoked, my masterforce is getting to overloaded for everyday shop use.

My Krl finally showed up last week. In my opinion it was worth the wait after several screw ups on snap on's end.

So you rolled a 1023 off the shipping crate for 4700 bucks right??? I'm killing my snappy guy on Friday... He quoted me my snap on 2 bay top and bottom with full height locker AND 4k for a 1022... I think he got mad when I laughed and walked off the truck...

yup, 4700. it was something like 5600 customer loyalty discount and 10% back via snap on credit discount. I think there was 500 off for a tool credit or something like that that I just put towards the box. I gave no trade, took my old box and gave it to my dad.

Damn thats a great deal.

I just purchased a KRL1022 for $4500.00 in November. I don't feel my deal is so great now.

Don't know if this has been stated, but it is my understanding that when a SO dealer gets in on a pre order special deal from SO, they get phenomenal pricing. They may be ordering months in advance but this gives SO efficiencies in manufactoring so they can lower the price. If they can run several hundred of one model box and can plan in advance, they save a ton on the costs. Problem for the dealer is he may have to sit on a box till it sells, or several if he orders heavy. Its tough to know what someone will by months down the road.

I had told my driver that I wanted a 1023 and he initially quoted my around 8.5k for it. I told him it was still to steep for me but to let me know if he could get me a little better deal. When he got back from Vegas he came by the dealership saying he had that better deal for me. I really couldn't pass it up. I was initially told it would be November before it came. then I was told it would come in October. In October the wrong box showed up which was a heartbreaker, and then I was told it would be sometime in dec. due to issues at the factory.

Yea that sounds about right. He said 5700 I think for a 1023. Was hard to turn it down but got the 1022 for about 4400. He let me do a truck account on it which helped sweeten the deal.

I thought I had more tools in my kra but this 1022 still has a bunch of empty space :)

Finally got mine in Nov

This is kinda off topic, but I'm looking for a used snap on box for my home garage. Found a classic 96 kra2418 on craigslist for 2300, got him down to 1900 by phone so far. Said he bought it in 07. Deal or should I get him down more? I thought it sounded decent till I read this thread. I talked to my snap on guy the other day and he didn't say anything about screaming deals.

Are the classic boxes decent compared to krl's? I want to replace my masterforce 36" top and bottom and a 26" craftsman boxes.

I upgraded to my krl from a masteforce. When I was looking at boxes I felt that my masteforce was better quality then any of the kra or classic series boxes I looked at. But the krl is hands down better than the menards box.

My 1023 got dropped off today. Still trying to find a home for everything. My lockers won't be here until mid-January....

I just can't believe some of the smoking deals you guys are getting....
Some of these sound like the crackhead at the gas station with a trunk of Mac tools selling for .10 cent on the dollar.. I'm very interested in this rockn'roll cab truck deal!! Because my snappy guy is talking 2500 trade value on my kr top and bottom with locker.. And y'all are talking about 4k for a husky roller..

Damn you guys!

Because of this thread I asked my Snappy dealer if he had any killer deals from Vegas left. He showed me a pic on his phone of a 1023 he had in storage. It's flat black, black trim and he made me a killer deal on the bed lined stainless top.

I think the deal on the box was pretty good. $5k on the box, and he's giving me $1k in trade for my old 54" Heritage KRA. I could probably get $1200 for the KRA on CL, but the trade is simple and I don't mind letting him make a few $$ on the box.

I'll post pics after he drops it off later this week.

$5k for a 1023 with stainless top. Would have take that over my 1022 any day. Very killer deal.

$5k didn't include the top. I paid around $800 for the top, but it brought me over $5k on an EC account, got me a $500 rebate for that. I figure the top cost me around $400 after the rebate is figured in.

We had a Penske truck full of boxes show up at my work a few weeks ago, I was offered $5244 for my 3 year old classic 78 which I paid $2500 for, and difference on a new Orange/white Classic SS with a 10 drawer top was $3200, and a $325 tool credit.

My dealer sells those Classic SS for $3000, $2750 if you use Snap-on credit.
