all my precision measuring tools are in there cases in the spare room of the house and so is my micometer type torque wrenches , tempature and humidity controlled , all the other tools that have cases like saws and drills are in some glass door lab cabinets I got from a college that was remodeling , ans my other specialty tols like my snap on wrenches I cut the tops off to clear the drawers and throw them in recycling .

Leave in the case , lid and all and store them in the tool chest.
