Wow Terry, great minds think alike ! I've been borrowing my lead tech's roll pin punch from time to time, and got sick of it, so I got myself a decent cheap set from Home DepotDOTcom. Although not as nice as yours, the $29.00 12piece Mayhew set I bought should treat me just fine:

And,

I bought that same set last month. I really like it so far, and for the price it is a deal as far as I see it.

Where did you get that toptul wrench ? I looks perfect for my rear ohlins shock. Do you have a part number and also you you please be able to tell me the thickness ? I assume it can adjust ?

That thing looks awesome !
Thanks in advance

it's an adjustable hook spanner wrench, i got it for about $30, went direct to the importer of Toptul here in the Philippines & got a nice discount for the whole set you see in the pics.

the one i got is the AEEX1A80, the specs are on the pics above.

i got it for the very same reason as you, need a decent hook spanner to turn the preload adjusting collars on the Ohlins, Showa, KYB, Sachs motorcycle rear shocks, the Honda OEM shock spanner i'm using keeps slipping & busting my knuckles, this thing should make my work a whole lot easier, feels good to hold too, very solid piece, i'll be getting the 35-50mm model as well. the Unior hook spanner costs just as much but it isn't available & this one just looks like the Facom adjustable hook spanner wrench.

I have one of those hose pliers and love them.

What cable is that and what can you do with it? What software or what else do you need to make it work?

Good to hear. I'm doing the heater core on dads truck this weekend so figured they'd come in handy.

The cable is a K+DCAN for talking to BMWs. I've got a CEL so trying to figure out what's up. Using BMW standard tools software can diagnose and also code modules as well. Still haven't got the software quite right as I can't select a chassis but can see the battery on and ignition on dots. Thinking I have a carboned up injector though as my mpg's have gone up according to the OBC.

chad, where did you go to piece everything together? What did they end up costing you in total?

the 8 standard wrenches cost about $60. The 12 metric were $160. Which wasn't bad 220 for 20 USA ratchet wrenches. I had got the missing wrenches from Zoro tools and Grainger.

I sold my made in China craftsman ratchet wrenches to buy either Armstrong or proto. After pricing these I couldn't pass up the price.

I passed on the flex heads because they don't make metric and i read on here a lot of people don't like the locking wrenches.

I couldn't pass them up, I have an older 8 piece craftsman ratchet wrench set that I have beat on. I used the 3/4 almost all day everyday. they were rained on and dropped and they still work good as new with a little bit of wd40

Word? Never knew that. I actually have the stubbies with locking mechanism. I don't play much with locks.. Just flip over one side to other. They got nice finished look n look to be on par with g.w stubbies. Yup that's what I use wd40 to keep them going.

I do love Thursday. It's Snap On day! Few goodies from the truck today. Socket trays, 16oz ball peen, and the elusive PWSC7. :D

Saw this on closeout today at Sears and thought I'd take a chance on them. 5 large Cross force wrenches for 42.97 at 10% off. Anyone find any advantages to these? They are USA made though and for Sears today that was surprising.

C-Man multi-drive socket set, K-D Tools bit driver w/bits, Kobalt 3/8 drive SAE/MM socket set, HF socket rails and a U.S. made Allen ratcheting bit driver set(I think the sockets in it are imports, but the driver is clearly marked USA on it.

Today's haul from snap on, was a runner up in a contest and won the dart board. Everything else was only $17 after $500 credit.

Picked up a PC 330 sander from the 'higher end' pawn shop today for $10. I'll snap a pic later, it powered on & sounded ok, it's pretty ugly though.
