Does anyone know of any free programs or websites (preferably a website I can host on my own servers) for keeping track of parts used when doing repairs. We have a few trucks and smaller vehicles that we do routine maintenance on. We would like an electronic way of keeping track of brakes, lights, filters, etc. for each vehicle. Right now we just have lined paper with everything listed. Most of the sheets you can barley read now due to greasy finger prints. Any help is greatly appreciated

I would think that a simple Excel spreadsheet would be more than enough to do what you want.

ditto

I have also been using an app called Evernote for this sort of stuff. I create a note for each vehicle and can access it either on my computer or on my phone to update it. It automatically backs up the data, so what you input on the phone is already there if you look at it online on the computer.

Same here, another happy Evernote user, one of my favorite apps of all time! and the nice thing is it works on Android, Apple, and computer, and shares the information with every device linked to that Evernote account. For example, if I enter the information in my garage on my android phone and go in the house and look at the Evernote on my iPad or computer, the information I entered when I was in the garage will be on my iPad and computer when it synchronizes. Been using this since it came out.

I use Google Drive's version of excel. that way you can access it on any computer or phone and have access limited to oneself.

I had a program called Automotive Wolf. Went halfsies on it with a buddy. It's a fairly good program. Too bad i forgot to save it when I switched PC's.

I tried excel spreadsheets in the past and ended up with a medium size spiral notebook in the dash. Always with me, I can tape receipts in it, I can touch it with greasy hands....

Sometimes old tech works best.

I currently use android app TripLog. I keep track of mileage, fuel used, mpg, parts i replace on the vehicles, oil changes, etc... It will also allow you to email reports for all expenses.
