Anyone have a good source for the adapters they sell for lifts to protect the pinchwelds when lifting a vehicle?? I'm using a MaxJax lift.

Why do you want to do this?

2 post lifts do not damage pinch welds (normal pinch welds, not some 20 year old rust bucket). What damages pinch welds is floor jacks. A 2 post lift picks the car up virtually straight with no side to side strain on the pinch weld along the car.

Does your 2 post lift have rubber pads on it? If so, you are okay to go.

not sure I agree that the maxjack would not damage the pinch welds, I wont try it to prove you right or wrong though :)

I am also looking for a adapter, I will go with the hockey puck if I have to but I prefer something that would replace the pad in the lifting arm.

I also need smaller pads for my other car, I hate the idea of cutting the pads on the maxjack.

Just take your lift pad to a machine shop and have them duplicate it. Then bolt the hockey puck to your new lift pad. I used 4 counter bored holes in the puck to hold it to my lift adapter. My regular frame cradle pad was held to the adapter with bolts already. So i just swap out the rubber part when needed.
