Black Stripper pad for etching...

I'm able to borrow a floor buffing machine to use to etch my concrete with before doing my epoxy. The machine come's with one attachment shown (blue bristles) or should I buy the black stripping pad's used for floor machines when I use the muriatic acid to etch my cement? Also if I do use the black pad does it just grip on to the blue bristle attachment piece or do i need a separate attachment to use the pads?

This machine will not help you profile the floor with that pad.
