Seville Classic vs Gladiator Premier Cabinets

This forum is starting to cost me a small fortune. In the last two weeks I've plumbed my air compressor with copper, ordered a new tool box from Strictlytoolboxes.com, installed a NewAir G73 5000w heater, and installed 2 Home Depot 8' T5HO overhead lights in my garage.

I'd like to replace my ultra cheapo white MDF cabinets with something that looks better and is more useable. I've about settled on the Gladiator Premier stuff from Sears, but I keep running across Seville Classics from Sams Club on the net. Can anyone tell me if these two are even competitors? I know the Seville stuff requires assembly (which I'm not too excited about), but it is a fraction of the cost of the Gladiator Premier.

I'm looking at a 6' workbench with 2 under bench modules. I will also be adding 3 overhead cabinets above the bench. The Gladiators are 30" wide by 30" tall 3 shelf cabinets. I believe the Seville are 24" by 28" with 2 shelves.

For those of you who prefer the Gladiator, do you prefer the maple or bamboo top for the workbench?

Anyone have an opinion on just the Seville cabinets? I was almost set to buy the Gladiators from Sears, but the Seville cabinets at Sams club look pretty good (I have not seen them in person).

I can't speak to the Seville cabinets. That said, after beating my head against the wall trying to figure out what I was going to do for cabinets at an economical price, I stumbled into Sears and seen Gladiators at the best price I had ever saw. I'm very pleased with mine a few days into having them home and installed.

They look great! Are those the welded ones are the ready to assemble? My local Sears had them, but I thought they were $139.00

I have some Sevilles, I looked at Gladiator & they resembled cheap plastic rubbermaid ****

I have six Seville wall cabinets and two Seville tall cabinets. It's hard to beat them for the price. Assembly was relatively easy with a screw gun. They are very stout when assembled and have shown no signs of failure.

I can see pluses and minuses to both brands. I like the shiny doors better on the sevilles but the fact that there is only 1 door as opposed to 2 is a drawback for me. Assembled or not makes no difference to me because I pulled the doors and shelves before hanging them and reinstalled them afterward. As far as pricing the Sevilles come out cheaper per inch of cabinet but more expensive per inch usable space when you figure in losing 1 shelf. I need to maximize my storage so the number of shelves really does have value to me. Both appear to be nice cabinets. At $99 I prefer the Gladiators, but at the more common pricing of the same cabinets at $149 or even $198 the Sevilles would have the advantage for me.

I have 4 Seville cabinets and love em!! Can't beat em for the price.

I have the gladiators and they are really nice. Love the magnetic doors and the 2 shelves. always seem to be on sale for $99 too.
