How is it complete with 10 SAE sizes vs 14 METRIC?
It depends on what you work on. That set and many others, are geared toward Auto Techs that don't the funky sized sockets ending in 32nds.
SAE sizes are mostly gone from late model cars. I for one, would avoid any set that was SAE heavy.
Gearwrench, Grey Pneumatic, and Sunex impact sockets are not made in the same factory. Their sets often contain the same size offerings and are all black but, that's about all they have in common.
Aside from the obvious laser etching, stamped or not stamped size markings. there are other differences such as chamfered versus non chamfered square drive ends, the thickness, width, and shape of the collar on swivel sockets, and the depth of broaching along with off corner engagement on the socket ends. I thought for years that all of the Taiwan made impact sets came out of the same factory and only the color of the box was changed but, after acquiring sets from most of the different manufacturers, there is a difference
