Is there anything in particular I should be looking for? I might go see it this weekend. This will be the first time buying a used drill press.

The handle looks like its missing two.

If it runs and the chuck can travel down without making terrible vibration or noise, you got a good one.

I would love to have one of those. Even if it wasn't working but complete, $50 bucks is still a good deal.

Delta made a good, solid machine. They're pretty easy to repair if something is wrong with it. It's likely to just need a good cleaning and lubrication, assuming that the motor is OK. I have a smaller, 11" bench top drill press from the mid-1950s that's similar to this one.

Check out www.owwm.org for lots of resources on repair and preservation of these machines.

Delta Rockwell made VERY good stuff at that time. My dad had a Rockwell talesaw & it was one of the best pieces of equipment in his shop.
Just make sure it runs, that the chuck moves up & down freely, & hopefully the table isn't too rusty.
