Im sorry guys, but where i come from insulting a guys tools is worse the insulting his family.

I can see maybe insulting a guys "tool". . .but his tools? Time to lose the ******* and grow a pair. Oops. . .I think that was a tool insult.

Speaking of tools, have you read the thread about the guy who got an average pawn shop score but then never posted pics so we had to be entertained by another guys hot wife. . .:D

Oh. . .and what is "ull drool"? Sounds nasty.

KP, ull drool is some horrible stuff to have to clean up, easier to move to a new house.

OP, CM is average stuff if it is older USA and below average if its some of the newer stuff. You are jazzed to have hit paydirt and it probably stocked up your box a lot. Thats cool.

That said I've given away or sold cheap all but a dozen pieces of CM to date. The few I hang on to are big wrenches I see no need to replace and a few ratchets in a collection. I don't do Snappy either for the same reason you cite. There are those who love and loathe any brand here so don't be surprised if not everyone loves a CM whatnot even if you do.

Please post pics of your tool buys when you can, it makes a much more interesting post for the rest of us. An older desktop and a digital camera are all I have, and that works just fine to post pics.

Yes pics are fun, posting pics can be fun. But of all the forums I've been on I've never needed another source to post pics straight from my phone

Ok, so a few months ago my fiance and i went to a pawn shop looking for 2 18mm sockets, short, and deep. Rummaging thru the supplies, i found a black and decker box chock full of craftsman. I quickly closed the box and went to ask the guy how much he wanted for the box. He said 80, i said how about 70? He said ok, so i paid and ran away. I don't think the guy new what the hell as in there.

Sooooo....you bought the box for $70 and stole all the tools?:headscrat

I think there is some rule or script on this forum that you can't post pics directly on the site till you have 10 posts. After 10 posts you are able to add photos like in outlaw's instructions.

Don't be discouraged toolstools, but you can see that with out photos this site would really **** and in a bad way. Everyone does their bit around here and posts photos when ever possible, they make all the difference.

...and uh, avatars are a BIG part of the experience too!

That's what I thought when I read his description. Why not throw a few more things in there while you're at it? It sounds like there might have been room still.

where i come from insulting a guys tools is worse the insulting his family.

And this is just absurd. I hope for your fiancee's sake that you'll consider moving to a more grown up neighborhood.

I was going to post something nice or encouraging along with those, but... :dunno:

I'm just here for Jason's avatar and hoping for more pics.

Also, am I the only one that thought the pawn shop score box was going to look more like this?

I've never seen a B&D rolling cabinet like that.

Well, those are just my tool boxes, 2 anyways. The B&D box was about as big as a Stanley fat max. I linked the wrong photo, oh well lol. Story behind those boxes: craigslist, guy wanted 190 for both and is a mac fanatic. I had a 17" 1/2 drive flew head my buddy gave me bbecause he owed me 20 bucks. It needed the selector with replaced. I called mac and got a rebuild kit. Fixed it, offered it to the guy. He said ill take the ratchet and 100 bucks. Meaning he gave me 90 in trade and i couldn't pass that up. No keys, but real good shape. Top box is an older craftsman, bottom is an older waterloo. I have 130 total in getting them boxes.

Thanks man! TO add to the deal, i traded the top craftsman chest today for a decent middle box. I didnt need two top boxes (my dad gave me one years ago) so i put it on craiglist to trade for a middle box.on top of that i got 7 various extentions, 1/2 craftsman ratchet, 1/2 mac ratchet (ironic considering i traded a mac ratchet to get it) 3/8 craftsman vintage v coded ratchet, an sk ratchet that need repaired, 2 line wrenches, and a gear wrench x-Beam ratchet wrench 1/2. Plus, he delivered. Only problem the new to me middle box isn't as deep as my top and bottom box so i put wood under my top box to support the 4" overhang. It works
