Hi:
I thank those that posted info about their lifts. I read about several lifts
over the last month or so on this forum as well as on several others forums and the Rotary RFP9 had all the features I wanted.
A few of the others did also, not sure why this particular one but a friend of mine has a couple of these plus a couple of the BendPaks and he likes them both. He is still in business, I am just a hobbiest tinkerer.
Believe it or not, a little bit of the reasoning I used 50 years ago when we bought our first washer and dryer. I bought the heavier one.
There were also some other things that I read here and there that had to do with the decision.
Thanks all again for your postings.
Tom

Re: Ordered A Rotary RFP9 Today Read lots of reviews here and elswhere, Thanks All.

Yesterday I had a friend to help get my shop area " the heated part 24x48 x 13'2" high" , cleaned out and organized a bit. The RFP9 is scheduled to arrive the week of 2/18/13.
We dug thru a bunch of my scaffolding and could not find any shorter than 14' ends. It looks as though I will be taking a piece out of the base ends as that would be a lot easier than interfearing with the diagonal braces as would happen if I just cut off the tops. Also taking a chunk out of the bottom 2' won't interfear with anything. Now I just have to make 8 nice straight cuts looks like the chop saw is a better bet than the band saw. Hate this kinda sh__t. Those are heavy duty end pieces that have be trued to the chop saw. Then I will get to use the wire feed. This stuff is about heavy enough wall to use my new Lincoln AC/DC, 225/125. I think I will give it a try first on some of the cut out pieces, "Love
That Little Lincoln".

I think that shelving is actually industrial pallett or 55 gallon storage racking. I have several sections the actual 44"x11'6" long x14' high set up in the larger part of my shop.
