Will be installing my new furnace in the PB this weekend and not sure where to mount the thermostat in a building with no interior walls. The furnace will be mounted in the back right corner of this photo at a slight angle so it blows down between the lift columns. I was thinking of mounting the stat on this side of the lifts left column next to the lift pump. It will be out of the direct air flow path but still in the same general area and I'm concerned the stat will get satisfied too quickly before the room warms up much.
Maybe if I don't have the furnace louvers pointing down, more straight out and have my ceiling fans reversed pulling air up to the ceiling and out to the walls then down that this may help keep the room at a more consistent temp.
What have others done in this situation?
