Also do the doors have any retention mechanism? We have a toolbox at work that looks similar to this and the drawers don't like to stay shut.
They are held shut with friction, and lots of it. A metric crapload to be precise. It is my biggest gripe. Not that I use this toolbox all that much, but I've had it a year, and the drawers don't seem to be breaking in much. I have the box up against a wall, and I have to push the drawers hard enough to loudly knock the entire box against the wall to close the drawers. If it wasn't against the wall the drawers would never close because I would be pushing the entire box around the garage...in circles.
Just to be clear, the slides move in and out nice and smooth. It's that last inch before the drawer fully closes that I have to ram it home. Of course you can't lock the box unless all drawers are fully closed.

Sams Clubs has this one for $400.00. Not very deep though.
Check to see if it is magnetic stainless?
it is. its definitely not T304.
It's 430 i believe. Said on the box.
