Basic wiring question

I am wiring up a switch and adding an outlet. trying to figure this out. I have a ground, neutral and hot wire coming from the breaker box. I want the outlet to stay hot all the time and then the switch to control a light. see my crude drawing attached. I imagine this should be pretty simple but I want to get this correct....

you can do two things:

1. wire the switch for the light after the outlet, meaning put a pigtail to the outlet and continue on to the light switch

2. if you want a duplex outlet to be half hot at all time and the other half switched, there's a little tab between the side screws you break off and the plugs work independently of each other and you can make one hot and the other switched

All grounds wirenut together in switch box with pigtail to switch ground terminal.
All whites wirenut together in switch box.
Wirenut power black with black from outlet and pigtail to one terminal on switch.
Black from light to the other switch terminal.
