Got my new Racedeck floor in yesterday. I could not be more happy with the way it turned out. Thanks to Jorgen and his team. Great service, friendly ladies, fast (free) shipping, easy to install and cut. I posted this pics in my "revamp" thread but, thought the floor section would like to see them as well. :rocker:

Just perfect! That's exactly the color scheme I'll go for. Thanks for the pics. It's just great to have an idea how it will look like.

Absolutely awesome! That is a class act all around. Excellent garage!

I too have a one car garage and am thinking about racedeck as the rubber mat flooring I originally put down is all discolored and getting ripples that just won't go away easily.

What are the dimensions of your garage? If you don't mind me asking what did the decking cost and do you have a link to where/who you purchased it from? What did you do at the entrance of the garage? I might be able to convince the wife that it would be a great anniversary gift.

Thanks Steve, i remember looking at your garage. It was really cool too. My demensions are 11' 6" x 21' 8". I used Racedecks "Diamond" with the "Tuffshield" coating. They sale little 3" wide little wedge shaped end pieces for doorways. You can see them in one of the pics. When you get your quote from Racedeck, dont forget to tell them you are a member here. We get a nice discount.

Looks great, on another note...

If you take that kink out of your dryer line you will likely see shorter drying times.

How does the race deck handle the cracks and unlevelness? That's what I'm worried about in my garage.

Thanks guys, As far as the cracked/uneven floors under the tiles. Its only noticeable in a couple spots, the only thing that happens is that the floor flexes a bit when you step in a certain spot, nothing major.

And the dryer vent... lol i keep meaning to fix that!

Looks fantastic!!! You really did a great job on your garage.

You can shim the floor to get rid of those low spots...

smsteve,

What year is you BCR

Hey Shoturtle,

It was a 2004, I traded it in last year for a 2012 BMW S1000RR. :shocking: I liked the BCR, it had character, but the S1K is flat out ridiculous. Great on the twisties and a total blast on the track. I'd get another in a heartbeat.

It would have looked good in Derrickwade's garage, then again that garage would make anything look good.

I have the same model 2004 with abs. It does have character. I find it great for touring. I had the s1000rr when it came out, but after a year I sold it. I have gotten to old to be crunched over. In the last 5 years, I got ride of my 1098s, rvs1000, cbr1000rr and daytona 675. Now I only have more comfortable bikes still semi sporty. SV1000S, SV650S, R1100S and FZ1.

Fantastic looking!

How does the floor feel when moving the bike around? My fear with my bike would the surface being slippery, whether I'm on the bike or next to it, positioning it in the space in wet and dry conditions.

So far, ive only pushed the bike in, out, and back in again. But it felt like the tires were plenty "sticky" . The friction creates loud squeaking sounds when rolling the bike over the tiles. But keep in mind, I have the "Tuffslield" coating on my tiles. So, the uncoated tiles could be different.

Never thought you would need to wear sunglasses in your own garage, did you?

Oh yeah, you could definitely wear sunglasses in there. Especially in the summer. The garage door faces the West, so in the evening it can get pretty bright. Haha
