Well im new here but wanted to ask a few questions..

I'm on a small budget. Roughly 400-500 bucks. So limited. I think I decided on going with Rocksoild. But what kit do I get? The site is little confusing. I want tan with flake like what I seen here. Cant remember the poster but has a blue Miata in garage.

2 year old garage built onto house 20x20.

So basically a few question..

1.Any people in Baton rouge area do floors. ? Maybe get a quote and save few more bucks for better quality.

2.What kit if rock solid.? I saw a video that had everything in it on youtube but don't see it on site.

3. I know their are other types and venders n here so if yall have a kit please let me know. Ive been researching for days and lots of varying prices.

4. I know I sprayed tire shin out side garage and can see all the spots when it rains. So what will remove that if I did spray it in garage. Im sure ill see the same marks when I wet garage.

Amount of use is light to mild mechanic work.

Legacy Industrial, and Epoxy Coat generally have some very good products at a price that does not kill the budget. We have some good product that will cost a little more. Go with a quality product and take your time on the prep.

If you are going to go with Rock solid its not an epoxy. It dries very very quickly so just be ready to put it on fast. Give them a call direct and get some assistance as to what kits to use specifically with their product.

Thanks.. I know the rock solid has a quick work time and that's the only drawback. Being first timer with it has me a little worried. Adding all the cost for rock solid puts me at about 600 with the topcoat. That's why I'm looking into other options. Can u tell me average cost of a 380sq ft with top coat of your product. ?

I would say I have some experience in this field but not much. Where I work now I use Der 332 with ancamine 2049 ca. Also years agao I worked for a company doing this in commercial. That I can remember was called halamite.. spelled wrong I'm sure.3 stage deal using sand and sanding it after base coat then applying a top coat. 4 weeks in one building. Stuff dried in buckets fast and short pot life. But that was 10years or more ago.

Any way may be moving away from rock solid.
I'd love a white floor with blue and grey flakes. So on to more reading. Also seen the tile idea but question durability if something heavy drops. (Transmission And stuff. ) real heavy.

keep reading. porcelain is stronger than concrete

Thanks.. just putting a hamper on my time frame.. would live this done and decided within a month. Don't want the warm and humidity to make it harder. Got to price the tile also.. I did read it was stronger. Just don't know if I want joints. I'd prolly preferr smooth that was wheels on creaper don't have something to stop them. Just more options than I expected.

New questions for the epoxy experts.. been reading about hot tire lift . Well I dd my car with drag radials.(nitto 555r) would they cause more problems in the hot tire area because they are more sticky than a normal tire. ? I'd like at least 4 years out of the floor. I'll have to redo when I sell as I want a logo in floor and new owner may not like it.

Dude, $500, new concrete, tile that sucker. And not worry about hot tire pickup, scuffs, or anything else. Once it's down, you are good to go for life. Look at Tile for the Win link in my sig.

Seriously? Don't waste your money. The last thing you're gonna wanna do is redo the floor or take a hit on the price because of something like that. You'll be much happier having the money for the next place. Buy a banner

A good quality 100% solids epoxy shouldn't create any hot tire lift at all. Some tires may create light brown mark due to the different silicon chemical agents used in tires these days. Most times they will clean up with some Simple Green.

As u can see in picture I have lots of banners.. Just need easy clean up. Also if it holds I can just scuff and recoat to a new color more neutral. what i want is mainly he ford logo in the center. Long story on screen name but ford is what like. Simple answer is i hate diff screen names so this one is about 16 years old.

1 tile ill conceder is the VCT type. But my floors are brushed finished. Well broom on semi dry. So its not smooth and with it being a ramp up front may not look correct with a thick tile. That's why VCT

Are you planning on doing a sticker under a clear coat? Or trying to paint it on? Either way, the recoat plan is really bad but now that I've spoken my mind, I'll bite my tongue

I don't mind u speaking. Hell I don't know if it bad to recoat. Just a option if floors get messed up or realtor thinks it will hurt sell. I know tile might be hard to get up if needed. If it is bad to scuff floor and reepoxy please let me know. And yes a sticker under clear. Ford logo.

So I been busy and have Jo t gotten back to this thread. Also having made my mind up yet..

Well yesterday walking down Lowes to get other material I came across some epoxy floor. What got my eye was the name.."epoxy coat " .. I was thinking that there is no way its the same as what "epoxy coat " rep on the site has.

Was in a black 5 gallon bucket. Says near 100% epoxy. Even the picture looks the same . Yellow camaro on same floor and same angle. Would this be the same company? Epoxy-coat.com?

Did that. But being on phone and the app don't allow to search a specific sub forum it yields more than enough results. Then to add that it will only display 100 results leaves the search empty . Main goal here is.. is it the same kit and same company.
