If I was in 100 miles of that and needed a lathe I would sleep out all night just to get it. That is a workhorse of a machine. Extremely heavy, rigid and meant for production.

If a 12" machine, about 3,000 lbs. If a 14" machine, about 3,600lbs I think.

Thats actually a very desirable lathe.

It appears to be a 12x30, and probably of 1940's vintage. (it appears to have what might be a 'war finish' tag.)

It has the 12-speed headstock, with long taper spindle.

When new, it was considered to be one of the best lathes ever built.

Someone will be exceedingly fortunate to be able to get this machine.

I've used those beasts....solid machine...I'm sure that one needs a little 'love'...but for free? That would leave plenty of love.....
