Not the deal of the century, but basically 2 for the price of 1. Price of single package is $13. I assume this is holiday leftover stuff. For $6/each, good to toss an extra on the bench and in the truck!

Found them today at Home Depot. Single knife was $12.97, the two-pack was the exact same model knife, 2 for $12.00.

I couldn't find the special two-pack, so I asked an employee and he walked me over to another place that was set aside for Dewalt promotion specials. So, if you don't see them with all the box cutters, ask someone.

They had other Dewalt promotion prices on things like drill-bit sets, driver sets, tape measures, and so on.

Edit, next day: was in a different HD today and they didn't have any of the Dewalt promo items. So, you might have to shop around.

Just went to HD and picked up a pair. I was impressed with the quality - made in USA according to the package. Last Xmas i got some of the Stanley Fat Max utility knives on special and found putting in a new blade to be difficult and dangerous. The Dewalt design makes blade changing much easier and safer. Thanks for the heads up.

So I tried to avoid buying anymore utility knives, but I needed to stop by HD for some other things and decided to check them out. All I can say is wow! These are really heavy duty knives. They inspire way more confidence then the lightweight FatMax knives and seem to be sturdier than my old USA Stanley's with quick change and just as good as the all metal yellow Stanley's without the quick change. The storage compartment is a bit clunky, but overall I think I'm going to really like using these knives and may have found a permanent replacement to the Stanley's.

Also, to agree with the other posters, they were not in the normal utility knives section. Actually, they weren't even in the tool section at my HD. I found a cardboard display unit at the end of the lumber section that housed about 10 packages.

Finally, I could not use the stock locator to determine if my store had them, but they did.

One of my favorite knives...when I found mine there were 2 different packages... One is as pictured which is a package of 2 DeWalt knives, the other was 1 knife and a 75pk of Blades...seeing as how I have WAYYY too many utility knives already, I got the 1 knife + blades package. 12.97 as mentioned.

Same at the home depot i went to. The tag was there with the new item sticker, but they were totally wiped out. Maybe I'll pick one up on ebay.

Was in HD and bought two packs. I had to LOOK for them. I stumbled on them near the end of an aisle in the lumber area. Purely accidental. This replaces a Stanley Fat Max I bought a couple of weeks ago that would not properly hold the quick load blade.

Made in the USA with Global Materials as marked on the back. Good knives, and bonus is they come with a blade compartment with 5 extra blades each.

Good deal when I started looking at utility knife prices, yikes!

I happen to go past three Home Depots during my normal course of driving about, and they all had the Dewalt promo box cutters back when the deal first began. I bought a pack, the 2-for-$12, last month and noticed, later, that all three stores were sold out of them. I'd told some friends about them, and they were not able to get them.

This morning, I was back at one HD picking up a backing flange for a grinder and saw the deal-knives were back. Employee told me they had gotten them in a few days ago.

So, if anyone here missed out on it and wanted some, re-check your HD and perhaps they'll have them again.... As was posted earlier by a couple of us, some stores have them on an end-cap or other area than where the selection of knives are otherwise. So you may have to look, or ask an employee where they are.

Lots of them available at the Maple Grove MN Home depot store. Very good quality.

As a side note near the clearance center they have 16oz jars of TFE paste for just 25cents.
