It's about $7 per 12oz can from McMaster. I'm sure there's cheaper places to get it on the web.
For comparison their price on 12oz of wd-40 is ~$6

Just to let you know, this is brake cleaner, In a differnt can, so it can be sold in certin parts of the country who dont allow brake cleaner.
I use a little glass cleaner mist on the whole dirty pile, then a red shop rag. A little WD40 is good for the most greasy stuff. I have some hand brushes to clean off grooves on pliers, etc. Not too picky, but clean as it needs to be.

I rinse my tools with Wild Turkey. That stuff will clean almost anything.
For really greasy jobs, Bacardi 151 works wonders....

I've been using Zep Purple Industrial Cleaner at work. Mainly because we use some tools on 2 Amada saws. The cutting fluid and steel borings can get pretty messy and run everywhere and get on a lot of things. Cleaning up, I found several S-O sockets on the floor. Who knows how long they'd been there
At home, WD-40 and a rag.
I made the mistake of dunking a S-O screwdriver in Zep Purple once. Left it in a tub overnight. Not good for the finish on the handle!

A buddy of mine gave me a 5th of that stuff on my 21st birthday. Needless to say I've never been able to remember to much about that night.

For cleanin tools use Tool Room Pledge [wd40] wipe on wipe off, ya heard dat? Tool room Pledge will dry out its poisson oil, for non plated tools wipe on some Remington Gun Oil after cleanin...
HHhhhmmmm... I find WD-40 excellent for removing adhesive left over after a label or pinstripe has been peeled away.
It also makes a great cleaner/rejuvenator for blow-molded plastic cases as well as their metal counterparts including tool chests and cabinets and power tool casings when followed up with a final wipe of a diluted water-based citrus cleaner to remove any oily residue.

I only work on clean engines, and I autoclave the tools before I use them on another engine. Never want to take chances of cross contamination and infection.
