Hi, I just saw this on the samstag website..

PLEASE NOTE: Hazet is in negotiations for a new warehouse in the USA. Until the transition is complete, please allow extra time for delivery on HAZET tools.

Does anyone know what this means? Is Hazet coming to the US?

Hazet was being distributed by A&E tools in the US
but they have dropped Hazet and Anglo American tools will be picking them up as a distributer for the USA

Hmm, I wonder is Samstag is referring to the Anglo American tools mentioned above. I'm not familiar with them.

Buying Hazet direct from Germany is already expensive, shipping is the killer. Slow and expensive. Hopefully prices can drop a bit if a big USA supplier is willing to buy in bulk...

Why do you think shipping is slow and expensive? If I compare my prices plus shipping with what you pay in the US it is still cheaper to buy in Germany. Also shipping takes one week with UPS and approximately two weeks with DHL. I don't know how long shipping within the US takes, but it can't be soo much faster.

Apologies for bumping a months old thread...sorry Jens, my comment about slow and expensive wasn't directed at you. A while back I bought a bunch of stuff on Ebay from a private German seller, and was charged 40€ for a relatively small box, and it didn't arrive for 30 days...via DHL.

But yes, being right next to Remscheid would be cool. :)

what are the freight options?

I don't know to whom the question was directed, but there are several ways to ship. Anything up to approximately 100 lbs can be shipped by UPS Expedited. Small items can be shipped economically by DHL. Heavier items are shipped by airfreight.

If you refer to the candy colored wrenches it should be about 12 US$ to ship by DHL.
