My socket checklist

Howdy guys, long time lurker, finally posting. Came up with something to help me get organized and help me hunt for missing sockets at the swap meet, yard sales etc. Thought some of you might find it helpful as well.

Edit: Oh yeah, in case it isnt obvious, the S is for shallow and D is for deep. The bullet points are sized so that a quick dob with a permanent marker will fill in the bubble.

Nice one! I had something similar when I was sourcing sockets to finish my trays. Had it in my pocket all the time it seemed. Very handy. Again nice job!

I use a Excel document that Outlaw sent me, I just edited it to fit my needs. I keep a copy on my smart phone so I can check it at flea markets etc.

I had seen an excel document posted here as well as a couple other spreadsheet style lists online but they were hard for me to read at a quick glance and check off. I put a good hour or 2 into formatting this one in a way that was intuitive for me, but different strokes for different folks.

I considered putting a copy on my phone but couldn't come up with a simple enough way to make check marks in the boxes Did you have a solution for that?

I use red filled squares for missing sockets, green filled for ones I have and put a number in the box if I have more than one so I know at a glance what I am missing and what I need for multiple sets. I open the the excel with Documents 2 app on the iPhone, I use the free version to view but I assume you could upgrade to edit. I just edit it when I get home on my laptop and transfer the updated file to the phone. I can email you a copy if you'd like to check it out, it still needs some editing but you can immediately tell what is missing with the color coded blocks.

I love it! I used to keep a written list in my purse and marked off what I found. I should do that again as some seem to have grown legs!
