I made this snowblower because i was bored and i had the power unit laying around. i bought the new 2 stage simplicity blower for 200.00. craigslist guy needed money, i was happy to help out. chute swivel motion is electric and the chute deflector is cable operated. i had to add a pto and switch becuse this machine was a mid 90's hydro mower and lever operated. i also added a pair of 55 watt driving lights for obvious reasons (to blind the plow drivers that do not up snow the pushed onto the street!) engine is a kawasaki electric start 18 hp single cylinder. now i need a new project.


Lets see what else has been made out of necesity/bored!!!

The Honda 3 wheeler got a motor upgrade during a long and boring Wisconsin winter. Engine is an 05 Suzuki GSX-R 1000.

Ever notice how some of the coolest inventions are from farmers, or guys with lots of spare time. They get an idea. A few days later, you see the welder going in the barn as you drive by. Then finally, you see whatever it is in the yard and go "wow that's cool!"
Will they pass the safety nazi inspection, probably not. But they sure can be cool to look at :beer:

U have inspired my next project. I have scag turf tiger sans engine laying around. now if i can find an r1 cross plane motor....

One of many, and not real impressive, but most people get a kick out of it as I have it on a nick-nack shelf in the shop. I made this back when I was ~13 and started to get into bladesmithing. Made out of 3/16" spring steel. It was rust blued, but has since worn off from extreme use. It is as sharp as it looks, both wings are sharpened to a shaving edge and all points are pointed. Lets just say I would hate to be on the receiving end of it. At 20ft I can put it through 1/2" plywood or one side of a steel 55 gal drum.

went from a nice mild mannered, full bodied trail truck when it was 1st put together,
to
a narrowed front & rear clip, chopped doors, dana30/35 w/leaf springs.


mostly because i get bored, do some "thinkin' drinkin'" and start cutting away..

Here's a can smasher I made. I actually found this design on youtube and had the parts laying around to build it. The garage door opener isn't designed to run continuously so it get hot and shuts off after about 3 or 4 minutes of use, which is a handy feature to have since it allows more time to drink beer and accumulate more cans to smash!

Hello, new guy here. I am big into Sim Racing and needed a cockpit/rig, so instead of spending hundreds even thousands on one pre-built, I worked with my Pops and came up with this.

Here is a few pictures of one I have hanging in the house temporally and its hard to take a picture of but here is what a jacked up camera can do. One of them projects that you spend some time on and the last few seconds you get what you get and it cant be fixed or changed.

Wow 10.5.....That is one fantastic looking space for sure. :thumbup::thumbup: What grit of disc did you use to do the panels? And were you trying for a certain look or pattern, or just wanted to cover the complete panel randomly without putting thought into it? I don't know if that makes sense. In my head it does :lol: I do see what looks like flames into the pattern.

From the way it looks, did you also wrap the top of the pool table legs with the same thing?

I may just have to incorporate something like that into the house garage. In the summer, the garage door is always open. Something like your garage I would be very proud to show it off.
