In another thread someone was talking about how their new CM screwdrivers really smelt bad. I have noticed that lately of several tool sets I have purchased. I bought some self-adjusting pliers off of Amazon that smelled so bad I was really put off. I mean these had a awful smell. Worst tool smell ever. I let them sit on a bench for a bit thinking I would never use them. After the smell abated somewhat I did start, and after a few months can't recommend them enough for general work. For example we pulled up a couple layers of old flooring in a remodel. These pliers pulled out small nails and staples that our Channellocks couldn't get a grip on. Loved them after that especially for the price. Once we started using them the smell went away quickly. They work well and seem like they will be durable. I will be buying more, and yes they are made in China.

Yeah you did...

for that price you could have bought Channellock 420s and for a couple bucks more the 440s and made in the USA and quality!
