Anyone else supply this style other than Snap-On? Craftsman use to but they've discontinued it. It was about half the price from the latter too.

Cant believe it was the only two sources for this thing.

I'm sure someone will post them anyway but I do realize there is a different version from brands like Sunex and ATD for around $80-$90 but the wheels are tiny and they just don't look quite as robust.

Whats wrong with a tool cart? I think that may be why these things are so rare now. Having a HF cart with a few drawers on it that can be had cheaply is great.

Nothing wrong with a tool cart but the tray is more convenient for small parts, wrenches, sockets etc... The most important reason though is I was actually looking for home repair where I cant leave a fully laden cart accessible. If anything i'd get one of those polymer service carts. I just liked the offset tray more since you can push it next to whatever you're working on without having to keep twisting around in circles placing parts here and there.

In my case I would want one to compliment my topside creeper. Then you do not have to get up and down so much when working on trucks.

I also would find it handy for small parts. The tray you can just dump out, a tool cart you can't.

I currently use some plastic molded parts bins that basically have 4 half cylinder like sections in them that are the size of a liter bottle or so. works okay but is cumbersome.

I know plenty of people who use beer/pop can trays.

sorry skin, I think I bought the last one of the craftsman one.... ordered 2 of them and received 1. they cancelled the 2nd one and told me it was out of stock. when I kept asking they finally told me it is now discontinued.

that said, I love the tray... awesome for small cars, but not as useful when working on a truck or van.

I use an old physicians office prep stand

It has adjustable height and has a 18 x 12 SS tray that sits on top

It rolls around on 4 wheels

Works great for being a place to put your tools when buried under the hood.

I bought one in 2012 as a Christmas present to myself. I LOVE it! It is very handy and comes right up to what I am working on. I can put parts on it and not have to look all over the engine bay for them. It is also much more stout than I expected. I like it so much I would just get the Blue Point version.

My old man has 2 or 3 of the cheap HF or auto parts store roll around benches and I loathe those things. He however loves them and has overloaded the **** out of them and they are still as functional as ever, unfortunately.

I'd love to have one of there. Be perfect when taking apart head for valve stem seals or lifters. you have the table right next to the head and don't have to stand all the way up and turn around . Can have all the parts laid out in the order they sit in the head too.

Build one to your liking? Not much going on -- wheel base, column, support arms, tray. If it's for a home garage where you spend most of your time wrenching on one car, build it for that car.

Well that was going to be my first suggestion. :lol_hitti

My coworker has one that is called a blackjack I think. But I couldn't find one online with that name.

I've been in the market for the perfect cart too..
To me, problem with a tool cart is theres no place to work on em...top flips open, and even when open its full of tools. What I envision is having a mobile place to work off of where I can slap my 6 quarts of oil, filter, filter wrench, 15mm Wrench, paper towel, etc.. and rolling it over to the truck or car to do the job at hand...and on larger projects be the collection spot for all the used tools so I can shuttle them back to the toolbox when done.
Honestly to me the only thing coming close to what I have in mind is the SnapOn KRSC10....The KRSC100 is even nicer but the biggest thing with both is the price....actually just talked to my SO guy this afternoon about getting a KRSC10 in Extreme Green..

This post has me thinking about just getting the BluePoint and calling it good...

The work surface was a must. I would use my black 4 drawer HF cart with the top down as a work surface and pile on the tools to take back to the box. I didn't use the drawers all that much because on that model the drawers don't open with the top down. Yes I know if you close the lid while the drawers are open then they won't lock but the dam things would slide open every time I would roll it.

personally. i like the idea of having a tool cart. but i think a three shelf roll around cart must go with to put parts on as you work. otherwise it would get so cluttered with parts around it could drive you mad.

dad has a cart from a old dealer that i would love to make better use of. but he just stacks random **** on it and it just gets pushed around when in the way. bothers the heck out of me. ive been looking for another one like it but most are flimsy and not even close to as nice as his.

Looking into getting one of these as most of my tools I keep on the lift arms

Looking at the snap on version since has big compartment underneath but like the bigger area of the blue point/craftsman versions

Curb find!

Old hospital bed table that is used to keep me from stashing parts and tools around the engine compartment, trunk floor, lift arms while I work. I can hang parts bins on the lip if I wish.
Here it is helping me clean a garage of clutter!
I have a heavy duty one at the shop that also gets used a lot.
