I picked one of these up the other day. I had my eye on it for about a month, and when it dropped to $150 I had no choice but to bite. I've seen it for $170 and up previously.

My only dilemma is finding a nice home in my apartment for this bad boy. I don't have the money or desire to buy a roll-away, so I guess I'll have to be creative.

Some people are reporting that their craftsman club membership is getting them 10% off tool storage in-store.

I was interested until I heard the logo falls off easily
lol. It's not that it "falls off" easy, it's that it has broken off. It's the same logo as all of the other chests and roll-aways, so this was likely an isolated incident.

I bought it because it offered the greatest drawer surface area per dollar ratio in the ball bearing family of chests.

Just because it's funny and related to the post, my CM BB chest came with a broken logo too. I got this top chest (16" deep) and the matching bottom for $190 instead of the over $500 list price, so I ponied up $7 for a new label for the parts department instead of dealing with the warranty people....my phone call was only 3 minutes.

This is a great box for the home user. I ordered it online for instore pickup. Went to the local Sears, and found the same box in red on close-out for $89.99- nearly fainted. After checking that it was identical apart from the color, I asked the clerk to cancel the online order and substitute it for the red chest- one of the best deals I have had from Sears in a long time.

This is my first post to this forum and I have to say that the members seem great and the depth of information is extraordinary- now to check the credit card statement as reading these posts only fuels the fires of tool acquisition!

That's the good thing about SEARS -- you can cancel pretty much at anytime and although they may not like it, they'll do it. You walked into a great deal on that red box -- nice score!!

That may be true for in-store pickup orders, but NOT for delivery orders. I once had a product in "processing" for over two weeks before it shipped, and nobody at Sears would/could cancel the order.

I wasn't aware that the same box was offered in red locally - it looked to be a catalog-only model.

Yeah $190 total. I got lucky...they were in the clearance section, last years model or something but brand new, looks identical to the ones they still have in the store to me...There was a BB combo with the 12" deep top chest in the CC flyer for $280 that month so he offered it to me for that because his little scanner wouldn't ring in the price on the bottom chest. I said I was going to check Lowes and he said I could use their computer to check the Lowes website...I said ok. He came back 5 minutes later and said if I applied for a Sears card he'd give it to me for $200 and I'd get $10 off my first bill. SOLD!! The set list well over $500 I believe. It was the 30th of the month and he mentioned being low on applications for the month.
