I looked at a KRL1022 for sale in that color. I was not crazy about the color, but it was better than orange or silver IMO. the one thing the guy did say it was easy to pick up the tools in the box visually with the bright color.

I might be in the minority but I actually like that color.

Its not to bad. Does it glow in the dark?

Now THAT would be interesting. My cats have a glow in the dark mouse. It was a halloween prop my mom got for them. every once in a while, I wake up with a glowing mouse staring at me. It takes a few seconds for the wtf? to go away and realization kick in.

Regardless of the color, that box looks like something that Snap-on would traditionally sell as Blue-Point...... if you're going to call it a box. I suppose as a Snap-on, it's probably more of an extremely elaborate roll cart.

I like the color, but agree that it would look better with black drawers.

I kind of like that color too. Thought I don't know if I'd like it as much a few years from now if I actually bought the box.

EXACTLY how I felt. I kind of like it now, but I viewed a KRL purchase as a lifetime purchase and I wasn't sure in 10 or 20 years if I would like it. I went cranberry instead...

I actually like the color. The build quality of the box, though... well, let's just say that from the pictures, it doesn't look much different than the build quality of a Craftsman box. To me.

My Snap-On dealer got stuck with a large KRL series box in that color...the company shipped it, wouldn't take it back. He had to just about sell his soul to get a tech to buy that box, gave a huge trade in and cut the price just to move that green monstrosity. I'd hate to look at that color forever. I thought the MATCO Ratfink boxes were sort of cool, but wouldn't want one forever.

With that color green, you wouldn't have any problems finding your box or having someone accidentally bump into it with a car. Every greasy fingerprint would show up though and get dingey with age. As for the build quality, those carts are pretty much bulletproof. It's 40 inches wide across the front. It's not supposed to be a main bottom box like say a KRL series bottom. It's a tool cart on steroids. They're popular in some dealerships that have standardized cabinets in the shop. The bottom drawers are optional.

Without any chrome accents; it reminds me of the old school snapon boxes from the 50s or something (aside from the color).

I REALLY like the colour, if I was buying new it would be a choice of the cranberry (sleek and timeless), the yellow, the blue or the green.

Witht he green box no one could really steal it and its easily seen as already stated.

Add some tasteful pin striping and some black edging on the drawers. I'd love it! My daughter is after me to bu it as is. Poor thing going to be disappointed again.

Happy to have found and bought this MINT KRL1022 on Seattle Craigslist. Original owner had been vo-tech student before working at small indept shop. Bailed out of everything to become EMT and Fireman!!!!!!

Offered on C.L. for $4K, I ultimately paid $3K (cash, no tax, no financing)

Now trying tom figure out how to arrange my lifetime collection of mismatched "tools"
into this, my LAST box.

Leaning toward HANSEN socket trays, more wrench racks, and need plastic subdivide trays(??) for misc things like files, loose allen wrenches, etc etc

Good to see somebody making out with a nice deal. When I saw this thread resurrected, I thought, man, that was awhile back!

But you never want to say it's your last box...why limit yourself?!

And I remember you've been looking for awhile too...
