That might be a China set though. Would be a steal if made in the USA. If China, then I'd pass and get one of the left over made in USA sets that go on sale frequently.

Take a look at this one. Made in the USA, for $143.99. It is a 145 piece set, but all the pieces are good and all pieces are 6 point, with no fillers. The 255 piece set you list is about 50 bucks more, has "fillers" to bump up the piece count, is probably made in China, and is probably mostly 12 point.

Compare the parts list between the two sets, and you might find that the 145 piece set is a much better overall set. And 100% made in the USA.

The sets are still USA made, for now at least. Some of the modules have been shown to be Chinese, but I've never seen or heard of a Chinese mechanic's set.

In a document last year Sears said only the open stock ratchets will be Chinese, the ones in the sets will stay USA made, which makes me believe the sets will stay USA made, for now, at least.
