That's a good price. To bad you can't stack coupon codes with those..... Then it would really be a deal.

Wanted to ask also, how do you know advance has these deals? I see this deal being posted from time to time. Do they advertise it somewhere when they do it?

How do these compare to the craftsman set? I asked because my sears had the same size(craftsman) set for the same price

Craftsman full polish made in the USA or Craftsman Industrial full polish made in the USA in my opinion are better.

Comparing the Gearwrench to the Craftsman made in China lobster claw ratcheting. Then I'd go with Gearwrench.

I currently have the Craftsman Industrial and the Gearwrench in my toolbox. The Craftsman China lobster claws I bought last Black Friday were sold on Ebay in February.

I stumbled on it while Googling the part number.

I assume the Craftsman set was reversible and 15° offset?

I think the 8 pc. Gearwrench set Sears carries is different.(?) It doesn't have the same part number (44002) and I believe one has an 18mm and the other a 19mm. Maybe it's packaged specifically for Sears?

The sears ones have "cap stop" where the bolt/nut cant pass all the way through the opening. Sometimes handy....sometimes a PITA

So where are there Gearwrench wrenches made?

Taiwan; but so are some Snap-On/BluePoint ratcheting wrenches. I've never been disappointed with a GearWrench product and I'd honestly buy their entire ratcheting product line if I had the free cash to spend.

Despite my self-imposed restriction on buying more tools, I picked up an SAE and a metric set. I don't think I'll find them much cheaper.

WE've got two sets of the metric ones here at the advance auto in Allston Mass. Last time these went on sale we sold them all within 2 days and we never got them back in before the sale ended. So if you want them i would pick them up quick.
