What do you use to lube the joints?

what do you guys use to lube the plier joint?

all my NEW snap-on pliers have tight joint feel. or is it suppose to be?

i was thinking about this product.(great product for clean/lube guns, from what i read?)

They're supposed to be that way. They'll loosen up with use. I prefer Breakfree CLP to millitec but, I'm old school. I would probably use something thinner like a drop or two of 3 in 1 oil.

Put a drop of ATF on it & work it back & forth to get it into the joint. I use Amsoil synthetic but that's just what I have on hand.

do you follow manufacturers suggested change intervals and do you change the filter or just wash it out in the parts washer ??? I would think synthetic would be overkill unless these are high performance pliers..

Some jerk abandoned his junk 1989 Honda on the gas station property after we told him his car was junk not worth fixing, so I went in there and found some pliers and screw drivers. One pair of pliers was completely seized but a liberal about of WD40 and some elbow grease got it working nice and smooth!
