I've got one of those little Rockwell radials in my basement shop. It's a good allround home shop machine and is excellent for woodworking, as the radial depth can get to the center of large workpieces and can drill at an angle. The PO made a larger plywood table which fits over the iron table, to support larger wood work.
However, that same flexibility makes it too light for any serious drilling in steel. When you drill into steel, move the horizontal arm back as close to the column as the workpiece will allow. This will decrease deflection.
