Here are some pictures of my pretty much finished garage (sans some organization and little things), it's a bit of a mess due to the lift install that was going on this weekend, but you get the point ... it was built for function and not fashion anyway. The waste oil burner is a Clean Burn and it also has electric heat and air conditioning. Everything is 16 foot ceilings except for the area that I call the work shop (where the waste oil burner and hvac are) there is a storage area above that. The back half is insulated, the front half is not yet insulated.

The original 28x42x8 foot high section was there already, I added the second story and the front part, it took almost 2 years to finish everything including the electric and plumbing, etc. I have some construction pics somewhere, if I can find them I'll update this thread with them.

Any questions, just ask.

I want to put a sign on the front like this to pay homage.

How many Supras live there?? That's a big project, and it looks like it came out really great. A classy home for some great cars.

I see you have a older Dynojet 248 dyno with the red control box. If you need any electronics let me know, I know of a good source for the older electronics and control box.

I actually have WinPep 7, my pressure regulator came mounted in that box, so I left it in the box and tap conned the entire box to the wall.

Smart man not to list your location, you'd have gearheads (myself included) beating down your door wanting on that dyno! Great setup there!

Yes sir, I couldn't have built this place without the use of the skids. My brother, uncle and cousin all have them, albeit different brands.

They were especially helpful in the dyno install actually.

Since the dyno is about 5500 pounds, the only thing short of an industrial 18000 lb fork lift that had to be delivered and picked up on a semi truck, that could pick up that kind of weight was a telehandler pictured below. The problem with that is that they are around 30 feet long and the pivot point for the arm is all the way in the back and it is 7' 10" tall, so you would have to have 30 feet of garage beyond the pit edge to use it, PITA.

Under the telehandler pic is what us rednecks end up doing to install the dyno ... I had to take some pics while we were doing it! :)

I have 248 install instructions for a home garage, if the forum wants them?

super jealous of that garage. i take it you do your own dyno tuning on the supra's? super nice cars. even though i'm a mustang guy at heart, i'd totally rock a supra any day of the week.

Putting Smokey Yunick's sign out front means you got some pretty big shoes to fill.

Thanks!

I'm inversely the same way with a turbo Stang and yes I tune them.

I have dreams ... one can dream right? If nothing else, to pay homage. I appreciate that you recognized the inference though!

I don't see tie down points in the floor for strapping the car to the dyno, hidden flush mount?

They are definitely there, I have 2 up front and 4 in the back. Without those I wouldn't be posting right now :)
