Screen protector for fluke 88v?

I buy multi packs of the screen protectors for smart phones and cut them to fit on my Fluke meters.

I've had my Fluke 77 for almost 25 years. Never even thought of a screen protector.

After six months the factory one is so messed up I can hardly see the decimel point anymore lol. The smart phone protectors are thicker and much tougher.

I leave the factory protectors on as long as they hold up. I use cheap smartphone screen protectors for test equipment window protectors. They can also be used for analog (needle) movements, but some of them allow a static buildup which affects the accuracy of the movement. Don't use "cling" style protective plastic for that purpose. The static potential is often enough to make the meters read half scale with no input.

I have used my 87 for 20 years without a screen protector ..why would you need one ?

bestskinsever.com has great protectors for cheap. But a universal one and cut to fit. I have them on all my devices. Cameras, phones, tablets, multi-meter.

While true, do not most people keep them in soft protective cases when not in use?
When I'm not using any of my meters, they're in protective cases. When I am using them, I'm usually performing testing or diagnostic work and exceptionally careful with my test equipment.
I don't think I've came across but a handful of scratched screens throughout my entire career, and I regularly would send in dozens every few months on a rotating basis for calibration testing. I've just never even thought of a screen protector.

go find a local window tint place that also does Clearshield clear bras, they will have scraps that range in the 1ft diameter and smaller. Luckily my old car buddy is a partner in a Tint shop and his brother in law does the clear bras, I've got scraps for days
