If I recall correctly they are 5/16" x 3" (not 100% sure on the length, might be 3.5"?)

Once more for me - just reviewed this thread and saw the end. FANTASTIC work. Is this your house? Great inspiration to anyone who has a weird, offbeat, not-sure-about space. You not only cleaned it up, your detail work made it a winner. Hope your racing career goes just as well!

It's true... there are a lot of weird areas in buildings that most people overlook, but can be put to good use with a little thought and short money (and a lot of work)
It's in the basement of my folks' office building, which is just a multi-use building with a couple commercial spots and a residential unit as well.
The racing... we will see! I have high hopes for success... it's mostly about BALLS.
I sure as hell am not a professional, but I'll take the compliment! haha thanks

Good shots of you in the bowl. Looks like good form. As a quick note, I picked up a ton of time there when I started getting my head down. Unfortunately with the second kid on the way, doesn't look like I will be out there again this year. Nice garage work too by the way. Good luck out there.

Thanks for the compliments on the photo. I have more, if you are interested. P.M. me if you want one, for the right price of course. My job pays way too damb good to race. If I go down and break myself, I am out way too much money. I work for the city. I can ride like the wind and drive a car like a mad man (in control). I just don't want to risk it. I do however ride my 06 GSX-R 1000 to work every day. Lane splitting the entire way. (Legal here in California) It has 30,000 miles on it now. I live my racing dreams through others. I have always loved to photograph, so I figured why not combine the two. If any of you are coming out to Infineon Raceway in Sanoma, Ca, I would love to meet up.

Some have said it looks like a pro job but I don't think so.
Sadly no professional would take the time and trouble to achieve this finish in a low budget contract or sometimes even in a high price contract. A classic case of if you want something done right, do it yourself.
One example, the finishing of the red safety stripes which wouldn't even have existed in the pro spec.

Wow man im quiet impressed. I read all YOUR posts from the beginning and i got to hand it to you, you did an amazing transformation.
Im a ME student as well and im prepping my 05 gsxr 600 for my first track day on the 25th
MY garage is disorganized as mess right now due to storage maybe one day ill get mine as nice as yours but bigger haha
You decide on what brand of floor epoxy your going to put down yet?

I love the view out your garage door. Great place to wrench on bikes AND drink beers... the front door of my shop almost always has a great view of the minivan and the back is nothing but trees and my truck. Maybe I can create a sink-hole in the neighbours backyard to make my own lake.

I enjoy these threads MUCH more than the built from scratch ones. GREAT work man. Its really come a long way already!
The transformation is very impressive. I appreciated the attention to detail and following through on the project. Seems like so many projects start strong but end up half finished. This is my first post but I have read probably 1,000+ topics. I like the building projects and especially the transformations, very inspiring.
Anyway, where did you get the seals for the big garage door you made? I have a homemade basement bulk head door that doesn't seal very well and have been looking for a nice thick seal.

I shudder when I reviewed the wiring. I would not put al wire in any installation. Why did you not install the romex through the 2x4 studs? I saw ground wires on the neutral buss, but I see that has been corrected. The wiring is sub standard and I do not know of any electrical inspector that would have passed that installation. Good luck with the fire insurance claim.

good job on everything! Im right there with yah on a garage rebuild and the bike! I flipped mine at Mid-Ohio 3 years ago on the 50th anniversary plastics. 2 weeks later my track plastics came in the mail (SMH). LOL. I sold the bike 2 years ago and im waiting for a wrecked one to come thru the bike shop I work at in ohio. I still have a fuel tank, track plastics, new engine covers, and a few other lil goodies hanging around!
you should look at the SME front axel sliders while you are at it! Only thing you need to do is drill a hole through the axel b/c its solid at 1 end. If you know someone with a lathe it takes 2 minutes. All I had done to my bike besides cosmetic stuff like flush turn signals and integrated rear signal was a Yosh slip-on. Nothing crazy at all. I agree with what you said about doing up the suspension instead of power adders b/c suspension is 95% of the battle with trackdays!! Good luck and stay rubber side down!
