Looks like you have had some bad flooding up your way. Tell me please that toyr cares and shed did not get flooded out.

Hope you do not mind but I adjusted your photos see forum members could see them better.

Hi HOTFR8, i had a lot of collectables go under that i had to dump so i have downsized to about half of my original junk load, but that's life i had 16 cars go under alot of them are up the back on a nother pad that i was going to build another shed on. there was quite a few good cars go under but where mostly in need of resto anyway, that main flood was two years ago but it came in the shed again about a 6 weeks ago but only about 1200mm high and we got everything out this time except the pullmax, english wheel, roller and folder. Takes 20 people about 7 hours to empty and my wife and i about 2 weeks to put it all back.
thanks for adjusting the pics as i have tried to downsize them on photobucket but i have no idea what i am doing.

thanks lee

How did you come across Ronald?

Over here in australia we have a website called gumtree it's similar to craigslist. Its was advertised for $2500. or offer and she took my offer and i'm rapped.Next on the list is a bob big boy. On the 8th of this month my new car arrives from our recent trip to the states and we loaded it up with heaps so i can't wait for that.

i have 2 queensland plates for you so far but no other states as of yet but there are a couple of swap meets coming up so hopefully i might get lucky at one of them, otherwise maybe we could see some of the other aussies on hear from different states get a local plate and send them here and i could then forward them from here. I thought if i send you any doubles from the same state maybe you could share with any of your local gj mates.

Oh yeah, right on with the plates. Bobs big boy is cool, along with the old A&W papa, moma, and baby burger. Those are getting really hard to find.Have you got a place in your shop for Ronald? Thanks, mate

So lately i have been making some signs to put up as i am not allowed to buy any more at the moment says the boss. They are all cut out of 1.6mm zinc coated steel and then undercoated and painted in either 2 pac, enamel or acrylic depending on what paint i had here or had to buy.

a couple of horses not sure where i will put these two but thinking about outside wall. Not sure if i want to draw attention from the road, people start to think you might have something nice inside if you make it look interesting.

Oh yeah, love all the signs. They are like a drug, just want more and more. Tell the wife they are like shoes to her, I'm sure she will understand! Ha

Your place is awesome! I wish I had that kind of room. Dealing with that flooding must be very tough. I don't envy you for that. I look forward to seeing your new signs when they turn up.

Lee, great set-up I wish I could have the space you have. What was the approximate cost of the shed (pm me if you don't want to post it). If you are up for visitors would be great to check it out sometime.

Cheers,

Peter

Hi peter, I wish i had more space but the next shed i will make sure it's big enough. In regards to the cost it would of been somewhere close to $70 000.00 as i needed alot of earthworks to build the property up, it was going to be 45 meters long by 20 meters wide once finished but i will leave at this size and save it for the next build. Any time you want to visit let me know mate. thanks for looking. lee

that should get you as far as a back massage, that looks heavy. How did you find that? I have an American one, but its nowhere as heavy as the British.

Hi herb, how are things going mate? One of the antique shops i visit on a regular basis located a couple of them so i had to have one, i have a mate with a crane truck so he comes in handy on a regular basis. Every time i call him he asks what crazy thing have i bought this week, it weighs about 800kg so almost 1800 pounds so no chance of me lifting it. Hopefully one day i will get an american one and the Australian one but i think i will hold off until we buy our next property so they will be only moved once:rolleyes: Have you got any pics of your phone booth? i would love to see it. Have a good one herb. lee

Sorry i missed this one, all i know it's a j c higgins schwinn. i purchased a couple of years ago off a guy that was bringing in motorcycles from the US, i haven't done any research on it as of yet, i have a couple of others up on my mezzanine floor i need to research as well. I almost brought another schwinn from a lady in Oatmen when i was doing the route 66 drive but the people mover we hired was already loaded up, it was really nice and she had $60 on it which was a bargain at that price, the wife wasn't to keen on sitting it on her lap:dunno:

My real name is Aaron.
I was just out at Warrick last weekend...should have dropped in then.

If you weld I'd love to learn how to oxy/acety again. It's been years since I did it and I don't want to burn down my shed.

Well what started as a crappy day, renewed my faith in people. I found a sand blasting cabinet, large factory made with everything to use, it had all the hoses and dust collector for sale on Craigs list. Well I called the guy and told him to consider it sold, and I was 50 miles away but on my way to get it. About 10 minutes later I called him and said I was on the road and should be there in about 30 minutes. I called about 20 minutes later and said I just a few miles away, and be there in a few minutes. I get to the address and no one answers the door, so I wait around and call and the guy don't answer. About 30 minutes later I get ahold of the guy and he tells me that he sold it to someone else that got there before I did. Man I was mad cause he only wanted $150.00 for it. Well I came home and was in a pissey mood, then the wife went and checked the mail and told me I had something from Australlia. I opened the enevolpe and this is what I seen.
This is what they look like on my wall. The tags and the extra surprise was very thoughtful, and very much apreciated. They sure came on a good day, it made me happy, happy, happy:bounce:
If there is anything you like to have from the U.S.A, let me know. (within reason) Thanks mate for the Aussie BBQ apron, will put that to use this weekend. Well done mate.
