New Saylor Beall Tank Decal?

I'm restoring a 1973 Saylor Beall compressor with an 80 gallon vertical tank. I was able to obtain a paint swatch from the company that provides the paint to SB, so I know the color will be correct. The decal on the tank now is so weathered, you can hardly read it.

I want to replace the old decal with a new one, but I'm not sure how to obtain it.

I emailed SB a week ago and received no answer.

I spoke with a former SB distributor who said it may be possible, but that SB would want the serial number off my compressor as proof I'm not placing the sticker on a Craftsman or something. Unfortunately, the SN tag on my tank is missing (this compressor has led a rough life).

Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks!

I just called the local SB dealer here and told them I was doing a refinish and I needed one. They got it,but I have not yet picked it up since they are a 60 mile trip one way.

Do you know if they had it on hand or had to order it? What's the cost?

And did they require a serial number from you?

I think they had to order it because they called me back in 2 days to say they had 2 in stock. Remember now,I'm only about 100 mi from the factory at St Johns,Mi.
They didnt ask for anything. They didnt give me a price,I didnt ask when I called either. I will probably run over there early next week and get it,if you want, i will get them both and send you one.

Let's see yours too. Garage Journalers are like Marines.....we have to have pictures!

I made a thread about it awhile back. The entire compressor is stripped now and the pump is completely apart receiving a full rebuild.

Yes please, if you would grab me the other one and send it to me, that would be terrific! Of course, I'll pay for the cost and shipping. Let me know if you're sure you'll pick them up and I'll stop chasing other leads for obtaining one.

That SB looks to have a Ingersol-Rand T130 series pump on it?

That is correct, a T30 Model 242. Not my doing, it came that way unfortunately. The IR is great pump and has more output than the SB 703/705 that would have been OEM, but I'd still rather have the SB pump.

I'll call them tuesday and pay for them. Later in the week I can drive down and pick them up.

The "first plate" is really low to the top of the tank and is blind.as in no holes. The "top plate" has the slots and holes. I added the tensioning rods on the motor end because the way it was you had to prybar the motor back for belt tension and alignment, really a pita . I also added the lifting ring between the pump and motor because you had to rig the thing with 3 straps to pick it up and move it,too easy for it to slip around and break something.

Can you tell me more about your bolt eye setup? Is it a ring and a separate bolt? I need to lift mine also.
