You'll like that saw. My dad got his a year before I was born which makes his 32 years old. The only thing he has had to do to it was replace the belt. He's real big into wood working as a hobby and has never wanted to upgrade it. A lot of things have been built with that saw. I see it has the wheel kit on it too. I have to walk past that same saw everythime I go in their house.

When i was in my late teens, I bought a sheet of plexiglass for a project and needed it cut into quarters. I figured I'd get him to cut it so I bought a cheap blade so I didn't have to listen to him about how his blades cost $10,000...blah blah.

I get over there and told him what I wanted. He put the back of his hand to my forehead and said are you feverish?

I said no I feel fine.

He said you must be crazy then...I never new that about you. The only thing that touches this saw is myself and high quality lumber.

Thanks anyways Dad. :D

Thanks to nahudson's post in Hot Deals this morning, I quickly placed on online order before leaving for work. Picked them up on the way home from work. Didn't really need them, but it's hard to pass on at only $25.99 !!!

As soon as I saw the link I clicked on it and almost bought a set. Luckily I paused for a moment. How many pry bars do I need? You really have to watch it on this forum. Lol.

Yeah, I agree. But then there have been a few times that I really could have used two of the same size at one time. And there's also the fact that you can strike the end of the Pros with a hammer when needed. Can't do that with the regular Wilde/Craftsman bars. Is it getting more tempting yet???

Oh man where have these been all my life?

Total whim purchase, knowing I had to do plug wires on my buddy's custom LT1 setup with coil packs. 100% worth the cost.

I like those. I'm thinking that will work better than the Kliens I've been using.

Where did you buy those? Price?

I have that same set and they are identical to Kleins but I like the color of the craftsmans better I couldn't find a nos craftsman set when I bought an sae for the basement.

They do look like Kleins, they also look like a Pratt-Reid type handle. Either way I thought they were cooler looking than the current offering, they were in great shape aside from being dirty and they are a complete set.

I have a different set (I didn't know they made more than one...or maybe mine are older/newer?). Mine came with the box when I bought it...it is the SAE and Metric set in a soft case. You can also see my Kleins next to them.

I believe these are an older generation of drivers. What you have are what is currently offered in the stores.

Got them at a local speed shop but they're readily available at Summit, Jegs, Amazon, etc for about $70 or so. Spendy but you do have other die options and they are perfect with the spark plus wire cutter stripper crimper die they come with.

May I ask, how did you manage to break a 1/4" breaker bar?

It wasn't "broken", but after 40 years of use, was pretty dang loose and dinged up. The detent ball was frozen in place as well.

The Flexzilla whip was a hot deals inspired purchase but i paid full price. Tractor supply is too far of a drive for me. I have looked at these for a while and everybody getting one but me made me decide to buy one. Also a Nupla metal face dead blow.

That air hammer will serve you just fine. I've used mine on many truck/car restoration jobs removing sheet metal, body channel supports and what not.

Do have an extra spring as they do distort over time with exponential hours of use

IMG_00122_zpsb7156115.jpg

I ended up using the air hammer a lot sooner than I expected. I noticed that the muffler on my Eurovan was about ready to fall off in a rusty heap. The hammer came in handy to remove the old section of tailpipe that was seized on to the mid-section. It worked just fine with a Snap On chisel off of ebay for $25. (Sears has USA chisels for $9. I might just go get one as an extra).

I've been wanting a woodworking vise, so that was the first thing. It's a Pony 7" that came from Menard's. I also grabbed a doweling jig and another set of pipe clamps, a smaller 1/2" set.

Picked these up yesterday. I swore I was done with Sears until the pro bars were only $25. Couldn't say no. The red handled ones will be getting traded out of the shop on Tues. The Kobalt ratcheting wrench adapters work really well so far, and can't argue with $10 and Taiwan.

csmitty who is your local snappy man? im in the Atlanta area myself and we also got shirts Friday.

Its Pete S....I forget the last name. I was going to sears on my lunch break and he was sitting in the parking lot having lunch as well catching up on stuff so he let me hop on and look around. Had some blue fathers day stuff so I broke the ice and got some things. Real cool quy and even had some yellow stuff left over. But this was up at Gwinnett Place mall. bunch of dealerships around there.

Csmitty, that shirt is cool!!

I liked it too. I'll try to get a pic of the back tomorrow. Didn't even think about it.

That OTC tie rod tool is sweet! where did you pick that up?

Got it and the socket from Grainger. I get about 1/2 off Proto/Stanley stuff and free shipping. I think the OTC was about $20. Its Taiwan but I won't use it a whole lot. Was hoping Mayhew made one, but they only do air hammer bits. And the SO one is about $80.

I guess I'm committed to the M12 system now! Fuel Impact driver and 3/8" impact wrench. I'm not really surprised, but the wrench won't break the lug nuts loose on my Jeep. Next stop, M18, maybe IR 7150...

Just snagged off kijiji, had to travel to downtown Toronto. Literally hopped in my car when I saw the ad. Luckily the guy helped me carry it out from his studio and down the stairs. Heavy sucker.

Snap on tool chest, missing keys, paid 150. Mint condition from 1990
