Steel Toe Work Clogs or Slip-On Recommendations

OK, we've beat boots to death. Now I find myself in need of a slip-on steel toed work shoe or clog. I tend to come in and out of the house often and I am endlessly lacing and unlacing my workboots. I don't want to track nasty garage stuff onto the wood floors and carpets!

I'd prefer something with a thick, stiff sole. Soft soles, like athletic shoes, tend to make my feet ache after standing on hard surfaces for a length of time. I also need the steel toe because I find myself moving things like engine blocks around.

Here are a couple of candidates. Anyone with direct experience with these or have another suggestion?

what about a pair of zippered "combat style" boot.

my daily wear boots are a non steel toe version of them.

i believe bates or danner has them.

A quick search of Red Wing Shoes' catalog shows two low-top, slip-on, steel-toed shoes: the 6646 (black) and 6647 (brown). $175. I've never worn either but I like all my other Red Wings. These ones fall into their sort-of-made-in-the-USA category.

You can give them a shot and return them in 30 days, which for me is a huge win with shoes. Trying them in the store just isn't good enough.

I wear Georgia Romeos every day but not in steel toe I have tried on steel toe at the store bu never needed to spend the extra money

Once you wear Romeos for a while you will hate the times you have to wear regular boots. My lace up work boots are 3 years old and still look new they on let get worn when it super cold or I know it will be super muddy. Other than that its my Romeos every day
