We are adding a 3 season room onto our house between the new garage and the house. On our west facing wall we have a 16' opening for a roll up all glass garage door. Anyone know who might make these?

Just about every manufacturer has a line of glass doors...

Spend time thinking about glass choice; there's some pretty awesome choices between cross reed glass, obscure and the long list... Sometimes a trip to the local glass shop and a few minutes with photoshop can go a long way to helping you 'see' what you're going to get.

Now i'm confused. I thought he meant he was putting one between the house and garage for looks. I hope he isnt using it to the outside. That just invites trouble.

The way i take it he is going to use it as a roll up wall for the 3 season room.

I am working on plans for a new shop. I saw this door in person and it was nice.

look at www.clopaydoor.com its listed under the avante collection

I built a shop in 2006 and posted pics here, we just moved into a new house.

You can order the clopay doors through Home Depot. I'm thinking of using all glass doors as well. I live in real rural country area and my driveway is almost a half mile long. You can't see my shop from the road, so no need to worry about thieves. If you live in a populated area, I'd advise against an all glass door.

I have a glass garage door and love it. Like the ones used in Jiffy Lubes, tire stores, and fire stations. It is 14 ft high, the top and bottom panels are stamped steel and the five panels in between are aluminum framed with tempered glass in them. These are commercial doors and all of the large door manufacturers make them. Mine is a Windsor. Amarr also makes them. Google "Commercial garage doors glass"

Old pic, there is now concrete and grass where the dirt is.

If you want a little nicer look, we have a building at my work that has a product called Nanawall. It's a very heavy duty glass wall system. Check it out.

Yep, we used an all glass garage door in a plant I used to work in. It keep the warehouse area seperate from the production line. We obviously needed to get product to that area, and it was great for tours (yes we gave tours) to see all the stuff getting ready to ship, or what we kept in stock.

I plan to use frosted glass....you cant see in but should look good at night. Not worried by break ins. I put the shop on the same alarm system as the house, you just add your additional sensors as if they are in the house, they don't know the difference. This was the old shop.

Lost them in photobucket... Had to find em elsewhere and trace em back :)

This was a frosted obscure outside, but we added a 3M film to the inside pane - can't remember the specific version now (3m commercial tint, think it was diffuse something)

Anythings possible :)

Here is the view outside where we will be using this door. The wind here is brutal and as the door does not face the road it should be ok.
BTW - Thanks for all the great replies and suggestions. We checked into the Nanawall when we were at Barrett Jackson this spring (funny place to stumble on them but hey ........) and we would have to take out another mortgage for those things. Gorgeous but way above our means.

Nanawall isn't the only company out there doing those. Look for "folding glass wall systems." Anderson and Jeld-wen also make them, but cost is $1500 to $2000 per running foot. I found a company in Pennsylvania that built them as well, and were about half the price. It was still outside the budget for that project unfortunately. At some point in the future, when the double slider systems need to be replaced, we will hopefully go that way.
