Valve adjust for older Mercedes Benz -- I have a few of those from Hazet with various bends for Mercedes heads.

The MB's used 17mm? I know that one was sold around here as specific for the Zcars.
Nice to know they have another use.

Thanks for all the help, guess old age has won over memory. Will put it with tools rarely used and no-one needs anymore!

Well at least you don't have a box full of 'em. Here are some of my old MB Valve and cylinder head tools from the 1970's. Mostly Hazet, Stahlwille and Snap-on. I haven't used them in 15+ years, but once in a while they do come in really handy.

goodfellow thats a nice selection of tools for the job! I bet they weren't cheap either.

As I recall, they were special order items through the "tool truck", so they weren't cheap. However, at the time my shop picked up 50% of the tab for specialized tools.

The old German that I worked for had implemented that policy, and it did wonders as far as employee loyalty is conerned. Definitely an "old school" attitude. I doubt it still happens today.
