Reverse is fine...small box on top of ****** looks dry...no idea what to add, smells like gear oil...it's the box that the brake pedal runs thru to the linage to the ******...pump it a few times and it will move forwards...But slowly...any ideas...? thanks fellas...
Oh no, I just had written a long reply but wasn't logged in and it was lost...The box is (3x6') on top of the bell housing...Brake pedal shaft passes thru it...on the other side an adjustable shaft goes in to the bell housing...Pump the brake a couple of times and it works for a few seconds...there is a filler plug on the top of the box and the box is bone dry...Smells like it's gear oil...I'll use a Q-tip to see if I can get some out...Suspect this is the problem...Don't understand how it works...Hope this is it, I'm in the middle of moving my shop...Thought I had heard, I think it was here, about the same problem...The ****** fluid level itself is fine and clean...Reverse works great...The two fluids are noy connected the Toyota is a 1978 5R motor...Runs great now too, after I rebuilt the propane regulaters... I 'm right in the middle of a move, too. now this...If I don't here any reply's, I guess I'll try some gear oil, if it turns out that's what it smell/looks like...plus perhaps adjusting it, if that doesn't work...It's adjusted all the way in, and last owner put it on brand new...Appears it has something to do with letting off the brake and engaging the ****** ...I'll add some fluid, if I can get that deturmened...then try adjusting if that doesn't do the trick...
