Here are my new arrivals.
Finally bought my first Snap-on tools, I had to special order. Because I'm from Norway. I got an used 1/2 inch cordless impact, from my father in law. And I got a Black and Decker Screw driver, which came handy working on her trail bike yesterday.

^Those are the new ones so I'd assume Spain

Yup, Spain.

They are nice. Made by the same people who make the Snap-On chrome ones. I actually like these better as they are industrial finish for which Snap-On does not sell in industrial. Plus I got these for $85 shipped versus $264 for the Snap-On set.

I picked these up from the Lowe's Knipex-Channel Lock blowout. All were 25-45% off! (and priced less than whatever made in China crud they had on the shelf)

Just back from HF.
They had a ton of "free with purchase" coupons in the coupon paper today.
I got the 6" magnetic parts tray free and used a 25% off on the 6 pair of gloves.
$2.99 total.

I know a couple of weeks ago when they had the tape measure as a free coupon in the Saturday paper, it went OOS quick.
I have never seen the parts tray for free coupon in my paper's coupon book in the months I have been watching so I bet it goes quick also.

Alright man, you know you can't just leave a story like that hanging. Let's hear it

I was using the scoop on a 1/2 gallon container.Had my left hand holding the upper left side of container.Got two scoops out of freshly opened ice cream and on third one went in too shallow and it slipped as I was scooping right-to-left and dayuuum !! Theres the aftermath below.I gave the ER nurses a good laugh when they asked how I did this.I should have brought the scoop with me because they never heard of trauma by ice cream scoop before. Two internal stitches and eight external.

And no I didnt get any blood on the ice cream.I ate what I had in the bowl while the wife got ready to drive me to ER.I had to hold good pressure on it as you can imagine.

They are a whole lot nicer than I expected. Might be my new go to ratchets, the foam case is a nice touch to boot. I would have paid a lot more for them to say USA on them though.
where did you get them from, and what did they cost? If you don't mind me asking.

Nice job on the USA Vise Grips.
What country are the Fiskars snips made in ?

Cheers, got doubles of the regular and the needle nose, that was all the USA-made the shop had.
The Fiskars were made in Finland (only marked on the packaging), likely old stock too - they came from the same place as the Vise-Grips.

It appears you now have to wear full PPE when operating an ice cream scoop. :D

That made me laugh so hard my GF looked at me like I was crazy. If anyone has ever worked at AK Steel they would understand. If the safety guys got wind of this they would actually make you wear full PPE with Kevlar sleeves, cut resistant gloves, and a face shield. The crescent wrench is banned from that steel mill because some one slipped using one and cut their hand open now if you don't have the right size wrench just wait until they can find one. You need a face shield to use a garden hose with safety glasses.

lol, i can relate.

where im at now they are nuts about safety, overly safe making some jobs incredibly difficult. i could see them pulling something like that with an ice cream scoop or pizza cutter if someone ever got injured with one

and i've been on the other end of the spectrum where if you needed to use a ladder, and what you were workign on was out of reach, then you just stand on the very top of the ladder because its too much time to get another. and if the ladder wont work, get the fork lift and have someone hoist you up while standing on the forks.
