Hey all...I've been poking around looking for ideas on how to cram all of my stuff in to an oversized 1 car garage. I recently gave up my epic 2+ car garage for a 1 car in an amazing location.

I have 3 toys (2 cars and a motorcycle), and a decent anount of shop equipment that I'm working on getting in here. One car, the bike, and the shop equipment fit well, it's car #2 sitting in the elements that makes me cry a bit.

As part of getting everything in to the garage, I was looking for ideas on Barn/Carriage style door conversions to free up the overhead space I need in order to put in a 2 post lift.

I don't have any specific info on carriage doors, but I wanted to address the lift. You might not think of this right away, but give some thought to a lot of storage at the upper lift level. You can use the lift to access and move lots of your stuff freeing up the ground floor for the essentials.

Awesome advice, thanks. I was throwing around the idea of a "library" ladder setup so I can use the height, but I like the lift idea better
