Are You planning to use them in a Commercial setting, or at home?
If You are a Tech, I would invest in a higher quality set.
For home use, the price would be hard to beat.

I have a set for use at home. I only use them two to three times a year. So, they mostly sit. For my usage, they work fine.

I also have one. Only use it several times at home. So far seem to work. It is no Snap On quality, but it doesn't have Snap On price either.

I wouldn't get anything less than liquid filled gauges and they'd have to be USA.

Just get a Mastercool or Robinaire set and have a manifold that will last for many years.

Check out the pawn shops. I saw a snap on manifold with hoses a couple weeks ago for $75

because he is being a ****, that's why. don't pay him any mind.

Yeah, so I see. There's at least one on every forum. Either being a **** or wishing he had one.

I just ordered the MasterCool set. I'll use them for 134 only.

I have them and they work fine.
Use the 4-5 times per year... and so far, so good.

Have used them with R-12 and R-134a (although you shouldn't do that).

Have a set of these and use them all the time, So far so good, US General branded. Sold through Harbor Freight. Have their Vacuum Pump too.
Seems to work just fine. I am no production shop for sure. Can't remember what my old R12/22 manifolds were, Back when there were no recovery machines!

I've got the Yellow Jacket 41312 manifold set. Good quality set, not sure if it's US made, a fair amount of the Yellow Jacket tools are.

Sorry for the hijack, but can anyone recommend a good AC reference that falls somewhere between the instructions that come with the HF gauges and a HVAC textbook?
