True....good for him for building up a box piece by piece....except I don't think stacking cabinets on top of top chest lids so they can't be accessed anymore is a "smart" move.....

Pretty cool box, this guy must live in a cardboard box though! After ten years i have a 20x40 roller and have everything i need. 35 years, I guess I'll have a double bay with a side cabinet probly. lol

im actually thinking that this was put together for the photo shoot.
i bet all of that is not arranged the way its pictured in the shop normally. like everyone has said, the tops are wasted, and those cabinets on top are un reachable.

So is he like 5'3"? The top of the side lockers are only about 5'7" or so. I'm 6'5", I could make that thing look small lol. Like everybody else here, I'd like to see the inside of it. Would be cool if it was jam packed. And doing some quick math, I have his box smoked by 6 inches, mine does have 10 wheels though...

I prefer large bulk storage, thus the lockers and hutch rather then drawer sections. I can also not go any higher due to the motion detectors in the shop not being able to see over top of it. It is 6'2" high and 166" long (almost 14').

from looking at the website for Bob Arlotta's shop, I would say he is a great mechanic, runs a pretty good business and gives back to the local community. Cool to see the local Girl Scouts earning their automotive badge.

I agree with turbo prop. This guy sounds like a very hard working, knowledgeable and conscientious business owner who does everything he can to give back to his community. Too many jabs at his height, the layout of his boxes, and even the size of his appendages from this crowd.

LOL! I just noticed the reflection. Pretty cool that an entire Monte Carlo reflection can fit on one toolbox
It's actually a REALLY nice car. A customer of mine. 87 SS, I built a nice 427 small block and did some re-wiring. It came in as a complete basket case and left as a very nice driver. Not something I do every day, but it was a nice break from check engine lights, tune-ups, etc.

It would still be putting stress on the bottom box, just in a different direction.
It looks like the op photo may have been done in a panorama format. That might make the lockers look to have some lean to them.

I can tell you from firsthand experience that those side lockers WILL have some lean to them. Maybe not too awful. Not like the whole unit will collapse if you breath on it, but certainly not ideal. Mine had a just visible angle - a slight gap at the top where you could look between the locker and the side of the top chest. I didn't load that locker down too heavily because of it - just the bulk lightweight plastic cases and such. They even provide a little set of snubbers you stick on the lower box at the bottom edge at assembly to try to counteract the forces at work on this issue.....there' just not enough holding these peices together IMO - 2 little hook-tabs grab the top edge to the bottom roller and then a couple screws get put through the bottom edge of the roller -- they need to have wheels under them, IMO.

I have a pretty big F350, so i hear the term all the time. I show up on the job site with my 36volt dewalt kit (biggest volt to date) and get the small ***** comment.
For some reason, big tool boxes and corvettes get the comment as well.
