Picked up a Bosch RH228VC, which is a little beefier version of the 11255VSR (8 amp & 1-1/8" capacity vs. 7.5 amp & 1" capacity). It also has a vented metal cover on the top, and more vibration control.

I needed something for attaching 40' of ledger board to the house footing, drilling for a spigot, and running electrical out of the house to a pool filter. Good enough excuse for a new purchase!

And to make it better, Lowe's accepted the Harbor Freight coupon, which made it the same price as Amazon.

bro, i have the 11255VSR and it's been a beast on the job site for me. Yours is going to kick ***

Craftsman USA made double box ends from 6mm to 32mm. Anyone with any suggestions as to how to store these bad boys? They are much too big for both the wrench roll they are sitting on and in the Ernst 15 wrench rack I have.

I have both the Standard and Metric version of those ratchet wrenches and I don't think there is a better version made. Good buy they will save your *** many times over.

I can store them in my toolbox for you. I'll dedicate a full drawer to them. PM me for my mailing address.

Since I owe jefmoss26 for a bunch of goodies, I was out early to several garage sales and a weekly flea mkt.

Snagged a few goodies (that are now soaking in evaporust) and then headed to Lowes for a couple Nicholson files.

Hit up the clearence section after that and there were the last two pairs of Knipex cable shears in the clearence section with clearence sticker tags but no price. Knipex 95 11 165
No hang tags, pegs or even sku stickers in the elec. aisle. None.

Went up to customer service and asked for a price.

After scanning I mention both sets had black grease on the handles so they must have been used and returned and the store repackaged these things with celophane tape/scotch tap (which you can see in the pic.) . Really?
It looked like ***.

I said, "They look like they had been used and they repackaged by really pissed off badgers with no crafting skills."

She LOL'd so hard she said, " How about $8 ?"

I said, "Yep. That's fine."

Amazon list is $41.

Can't beat that.

:)
Pic below.

I only grabbed one pair for myself.
I'll likely check back tomorrow for the other if interest.

All the MAC Edge products are Taiwan made I believe.

Correct. The ratcheting wrenches are made by Kabo who also makes a lot of the Matco ratcheting wrenches. Good products. I've also never seen 6pt ratcheting wrenches other than the old Kastars so its not like you have a choice to be picky over COO either.

Craigslist score of the day, Mac 76 piece Fractional/metric combination tap and die set. Lightly used and 1 broken tap, but I picked it up for $75

Shop boots. Timberland Pro 47001.

Not bad! Just picked up a pair of Danner "Vicious" for work. I hate breaking in new boots.. but my old ones are pretty much shot. Boots are definitely something you don't skimp on.

Hate on it if you must, but I had a gift card to Harbor Freight. I won't be pressing anything really heavy duty obviously. Feels pretty decent, just have to figure out if I want to give up space on my workbench to mount it or make an independent floor mount for it. Also got a set of 6" sanding pads for my sander and the 3" air cutoff tool free for spending over $50.

Picked up these Knipex linesman pliers because of the smaller size in comparison to my others. And you don't pass up a Knipex tool for $13.

I was changing the tie rods out in my car last Sunday and came across a very stubborn nut that wouldn't come loose.

What was I to do?

Here's a picture of my new Husky pneumatic cut-off tool and its first victim!

It cut that bolt in half like it was butter.

Got these from a fellow fourmer... t.ruckus.rex

He's got sets of these things...all I needed was the 30mm, but what the heck, I don't have any wrenches this large...and I got them all for way less than what a single 30mm wrench would cost me new. Sweet wrenches...

Took a mini vacation to Kansas City and the first stop was Epsteins. This was my first time there and it was a experience. The loan employee working there was friendly and stated a conversation with me and found out I was a GJ member. Later while I was shopping around he came up and asked if I heard about Epsteins day. Finished up by buying a sk driver, bahco belt and a pajr of knipex pliers wrench 7in version. At the regester the gentelman gave me a armstrong driver for Epsteins Day. The Samsung tablet we picked up later for my birthday. The best part about Epsteins is my wife liked the place

I found that same SK driver sitting in the hull of a greasy/oily/watery jetski I was working on! Cleaned up really well, and it now one of my favorite screwdrivers.

Sounds like my kind of vacation. I'm considering the Samsung tablet, how do you like it so far?

I love it. It is my 3rd tablet I have had. 1st was a kindle fire, 2md is a work tablet... motorola xyborg, then this. Noting beats the a real computer but for surfing the web or viewing media it fulfilling my needs nicely. If you have anything specific uyou need to know just ask.

Ipad.... I prefer the android platform myself.

Special thanks to GJ Member diggerrick for the zip code that had it listed at 3.99. After a little persuading, my Lowes decided to price match "just this one time." Probably because they thought I was ripping them off or something.

For anyone else who wanted to pick one up, use the zip code 43302.
