Re: what did you do in your garage today?
Finished the oil leak repair on a 2009 Buell XB9 and test rode it last night. I then repaired a wakeboard mount that came in the shop to be straightened and welded. I was able to straighten it, weld the supports back on it and shot it with some paint. I then put the rubber pads back on so the guy can come by and pick it up today.
While I was waiting for the paint to dry I cut some axle tabs out for my son's LJ. There is literally nowhere to strap the axle where the strap won't rub or get cut by a suspension component. I made some cardboard templates and cut them out last night. These will be welded to the rear axle so it can be strapped directly to these tabs when hauling in the trailer.

Spent a few hours bum in seat getting a better feel for what my little inverter TIG is actually capable of on aluminium. Well worth the consumables to play around with it a bit, learnt quite a bit about the machine.

At least I know the problem isn't in the attic. The cable is new.
