Versus just buying it predrilled and cheap? It's only a couple of dollars more than standard hardboard.

yes i'm aware . but truth be told, I was just THAT bored and looking for something to do in the garage.

Cleaned up 10 lbs of PVC sawdust from the porch trim I finally finished routing arches into. That $hit is miserable to clean up.

My prime set of car keys has gone missing. I know they are in the shop someplace. So today I spent six hours looking for them. The good news? The place is really spiffed up. Bad news? My keys are still awol.

I'll never admit this publicly. But I may have lost my wedding ring within my first month of marriage. I may also have ordered a very similar replacement on the net and managed to get the wife to believe it was "in the other room" for the couple days it took to arrive. :willy_nil

I've got that beat... lost mine ~18 hours after putting it on. Married on a cliff in Bermuda... lost it in the ocean the next morning. Good times.

Just looked at it. Got folks visiting so another week and a half and they will be gone. Then take care of the wife with one on one time and then I can get in the garage for some work!

Did a project on the mill once in white PVC. Looked like a snow storm. Got to love the static cling.

Okay Kevin54, here's the emblems I've been restoring that I mentioned a couple days ago for a Pennsylvania customer with the Dodge 800 truck his grandfather bought new. First, a few "before" pictures of what I started with ...

And here they are now ... far from perfection, but they're a lot better.

View attachment 268115

Kinda cool to see the "before" and "after" all in one photo!

I used the group pic on the left while I was working to make sure I got the colors in the right spots ... and then decided to just put it on top of the finished emblems inside the shipping box LOL

If you're on FaceBook, I have a regular feature on my shop's Fan Page called the Friday Powder **** where I show off the preceding week's work. Here's a link if anybody wants to check it out, send a Friend Request or Like the page.

Have a great weekend ya'll! Stay cool, stay safe, and above everything else, keep your powder dry. :D

And you're on an internet forum saying what?

A buddy I worked with lost his. I had in my toolbox a wedding band from my first marriage. It had been in there for 20+ years. I told him I would "loan" him one, only joking. He said that it looked very close to his, so he borrowed it so he wouldn't get into trouble :wtf: Well guess what his wife found while doing laundry a week later?

He did mention that he got the borrowed one off in time before his wife noticed.

Managed to snap one of the plastic heater core hose fittings off in the Grand Am. It was just as well, it's brittle sixteen-year-old plastic and the inside of that thing is all corroded and gnarly, but I hate having to tear apart dashboards just to get to the stupid things.

OK, 5 years after I installed my first HIS in an R1200GS I have done it again. The basics are the same. The HIDs are now cheaper and smaller. The ballast is almost the size of a slim ballast, and I got the kit with two HIDs for only $27 off E-bay. No issues installing them, actually they were even easier, and they work without a fault in my 05 GS.

The photos will not come with descriptions, because you can get the info on the first few posts or this thread: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=288538

I do that all the time. I give it a few days and they turn up in a pair of pants or shorts in the laundry - just like this week.

Re: what did you do in your garage today?

Assembled most of a 20 ton shop press that I pulled out of the dumpster. Fortunately I have a freakish amount of Grade 8 bolts so I was able to put it together with probably larger bolts than what was used originally.

I need to fix the fitting on the piston, then I can test it out to see if it leaks. If it doesn't then I'll probably get a new hand pump. If it does leak I'll probably weigh my options on what to do next....

Installed the railing in the rental house, then came back and worked on fenders for a while, then quite early , tuned up the 46 Merc and 67Galaxie, then took them both out for a spin!

I moved my new blast cabinet from the driveway where UPS left it, into the garage. Have a test at work on Monday, so I didn't get to assemble it...

I completed the fab and dry fitting of a sleeve-hitch, attaching a winch and box scraper for my lawn tractor. Next job is to pretty it up with paint and complete the wiring.

What power strip is that?

Its the 4ft - 12 outlet power strip from HF. Thing is a great deal for the money.

Btw, I didn't measure the strip to fit my workbench at all. It just so happens that it just fit like a glove...even that peg board that was laying around the house fit like a glove. I was laughing so hard bout that earlier. :shocking::thumbup::bounce::thumbup::shocking:
