I seem to have misplaced my terminal tool and I have been searching high and low for a place that sells one but I am coming up empty handed. The tool I am looking for is like a feeler gauge set wiring terminals so you can test if it has the correct fit. Anyone have an idea where I can get another one?

:) take terminals apart or remove the insulation, then buy or use the same ones. No need for a "feeler gauge for wire terminal".

Yes I know this is an option however, I like having the right tool for the job. Anyone else know?

What type of terminals are you talking about?

Can you post a picture of the terminals you are referring too?

What do you mean by testing the correct fit?

For single wire terminals, I think they have standart size, usually depends on the size of wire, current rating and manufacturer. For automotive they are from 8AWG-22AWG, except for main connection to the battery. Quality = connector type+ correct material+ perfect crimp. Solder is absolutely no, its weak and corrosive, better invest to special rachecting crimping plier for perfect and consistent result.
Loose fitting means worn out connector(s) or housing. Nice products if from Amphenol, Molex, JST, etc.

Solder is not corrosive, and is not weak. The problem with solder in an automotive use, is that it wicks up between the strands, away from the joint. This stiffens the wire, and makes the wire more likely to break during vibration cycling.

I've never seen it but I'm interested now. So it's just a tool with a bunch of different terminals on it so you can figure out which terminal you have?

Yeah it looks just like a feeler gauge set but the ends have different size male terminals so you can test the fit of the female side of the terminal.
