There are 11 sets available in the store next to me... PM me if you want them, I'll get them mailed out.

Went to my lowes and was told this is a close out item and since they had zero of the set I was out of luck. Got a pair of needle nose and diagonal cut for 50 bucks. Not the best deal but saved 20 bucks on the pair.

Thanks.

I found $59 at one store, none left at a second and $99 at a third. Have no need so I haven't bought. If I catch 'em at $40 somewhere I might scoop one up, no dice so far though.

The price will vary my region and even store given selling performance. Or some kind of statistic in the computers. I've seen prices all over the pace in the stores around Atlanta. Got one for $40.

Also there is another thread here about lowes and electricians tools. Been talked about there as well.

I checked several areas and here's what I figured out:

Stores that are out of stock will show it at $99. Stores that have it in stock will show it at $39.99. Check inventory at stores near you to find one that has it in stock.

I ordered the one-and-only set at a store near me. Thanks much to the OP.

Be sure to go to the store and actually check. At my local Lowes (59715) they were still marked $59.98, but rang up for $39.99. Score!

Thanks for the info. The store closest to me we out of stock and had the $99 price. Searched a few more stores in the area and I found 1 with 1 in stock and was able to purchase it for $39.99.

Picked up one in Denton TX for 39.99. They had one more set that been opened/taped up but looked complete/unused.

Flowermound, TX online price was 59.99 but I didn't actually go to the store to verify.

Winter Garden, FL store had them marked $59, but which one of you guys opened it and took the Phillips? lol

They ended up selling me the 4pc for $29, which was fair, imo.

If it says $59.99 online does anybody think there is a chance it will ring up at $39.99 in store?

I'd bet my next paycheck on it. Lowes website is not trustworthy.

Wouldn't that mean that the Lowes website is trustworthy? For what its worth I haven't had any issues with their website and ordering online for pickup.

Good morning. Search the Web for a Lowe's location that has the set for $39.99, example Canton, GA which as of last night had 2 or 3 left or look at the locations of the people who posted on this thread they found a set for this low price, and start a search for that location. Once you find this sale price, print out the sale, locate a store that has the set and show the print out in customer service at the store. The store should match the price. It worked for me with no argument. The store that I located a set pulled the last one, put my name on it and placed it at the customer service desk for one day. Good luck. :)

I haven't had any issues with store pickup either but their price accuracy and inventory tracker are atrocious.

My friend had to hide the last set at my store until I could make it there today. It waited patiently behind some Ideal staples for 2 weeks. I wanted this set because it was up for further discount due to opened and damaged packaging. I had seen this set a couple weeks before but it was still $59 at the time.

Brought it to the register and asked for a better price. They offered 10% off. I requested $10 off. $29 out the door for me. Haggling at its best.

It's your conscience but hiding tools is low in my book. Either lay down the money and buy it or leave it for others.
